Great hotel, perfectly situated for exploring Edinburgh, situated right next to the Scottish Parliament and 5 minutes walk from Holyrood House (well worth a visit). We stayed in a twin room on the ground floor which was modern, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The beds being extremely so, and the room was very quiet so we slept very well. We had a minor problem on arrival, as the room was cold and the heating control was not responding. Within a couple of minutes of notifying reception, a maintenance technician came and sorted the problem for us. Breakfast is excellent, with a very wide range of tasty, well presented food. We also ate here both evenings of our stay and although the menu is limited, the food was again well presented and tasty. Staff are very friendly and helpful and service was exceptional. We really enjoyed our break. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we visit Edinburgh again, it is the first place I would look to stay.
