We were heading to Bakewell for the weekend and decided to stopover in this area on our way. The friendly welcome from Mia on our arrival was continued by other staff members during our overnight stay. The recently renovated room was just lovely, We chose dinner from the set menu and it was superb and obviously very popular. Food, wine and service could not be faulted. It was also great to see that the Boot Inn is not just a restaurant with rooms, it is a community hub. Local people could also go there just to drink and chat, no music and no TVs, just like pubs used to be with a buzzing atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast. Parking is tight and we were lucky to get one of the last spaces. But it wasn’t far to a local car park.
