Koa Tree Camp

Me, my two younger brothers and our closest friend from home had a brilliant time here this last weekend. We arrived on the last day the heat wave was being felt in North Devon and it was baking. We had the site to ourselves more or less for the whole weekend (which was a bit of a bonus!). The facilities were excellent and the whole place and staff very accommodating. We made merry in the spacious rainy day barn; played lots of pool and had lots of laughs. The staff were very friendly and accommodating but also left us to our own devices. I had the last day of our stay on my own as the boys had a long drive back to East Sussex. Without them, it was even quieter! The surroundings are beautiful. Loads of nature to watch, if that's your thing (it is mine) and when it got a bit cool, I made the decision to go to the Jolly Roger to warm up. I was very happy to have done this! I don't like going in pubs on my own normally but it was very friendly, there is a nice selection of drinks and a very welcoming feel to it. I had good chats with the staff and really enjoyed the house gin! I don't normally drink gin and tonic but was persuaded to give Roger's own gin a try and it was a revelation! Just with ice and tonic, very drinkable and I had a really nice last night, good night's sleep and good trip home. The memories we have made will last us forever. We all had a wicked time and hope to go back someday. Thank you to the staff.
