Just got back from a stay at the Westbeach apartments we had the penthouse apartment absolutely amazing, so much room, cleanliness 10/10 everything we needed for our short stay, check in was easy and straight forward! Location was great and sea view was fantastic. Will definitely be back don’t let the negative reviews put you off!! The story about the building work in the welcome book was a lovely little touch but also a sad story makes you want to leave this positive review as these apartments deserve the custom!! You won’t be disappointed on your stay as we certainly wasn’t! We will be back Thankyou for a great stay 😀

To keep it simple, excellent position, immaculate modern and spotlessly clean apartments. Onsite management couldn’t do more to help as well as being very friendly. Not sure what else anyone could ask for in a rental apartment!!
Overall made for an excellent 5 day break in October.

Fantastic apartments, modern and super clean. Everything g you need is there and they are roomy too. Located a stones throw from the beach with local amenities close to hand. Atlantic Fish Bar is super for no cooking evenings!!! Perfect base for visiting the area. The sand dunes at Baunton Burrows is a must

We had a standard appartment which was immaculate and better than a 5 star hotel. We really enjoyed it here. Close to the sea in westward ho and easy to get to other areas in north devon. The appartment had an open plan living room with sofa, coffee table, freeview tv with netflix, a unit and tub chair. There was a table with 4 chairs and a kitchen with everything you could need. Dishwasher, cooker, coffee machine, fridge, freezer, kettle and toaster. Good quality cups and crockery. One double bedroom with door out on to the balcony, living room also has a door out onto the balcony. Balcony was a good size. Under floor heating keeping it cosy and warm.
Twin bedroom, beds good quality and comfortable, both bedrooms had built in wsrdrobes, chest of drawers plus another smaller unit. The bathroom was lovely with a shower over the bath. I cannot speak highly enough of westbeach apartments. I would definatley come back.

Managed to get a last minute booking for August Bank Holiday weekend. The lady I spoke to when booking was very helpful, friendly and professional. Had a phonecall on day of check in at 12.30pm to say our apartment was ready early.
Easy to get into the apartment with the key safe, our apartment was on the 3rd floor, I was surprised how spacious the apartment was, it doesn't look as big on the pictures. 
The apartment had everything we needed for 2 nights and I would be comfortable staying for a week or 2. WiFi worked well and Netflix on both TVs.
Everything was clean and tidy, sachets of tea and coffee left for us, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid too. 
There is an ironing board, hoover and brushes in a cupboard, the iron was in the bedroom with the single beds, and a hairdryer in the double bedroom.
Had a lovely 2 night break and would definitely return, the only improvement for us would be a sea view, but we booked a standard room this time and didn't expect one, would look to book a sea view room next time.

This is out 3rd time staying here. We did pay extra for a Seaview apartment and it didn't disappoint. Spacious,  modern and clean apartment with lovely balcony. Customer service was excellent, I even received a call at 11am on day we were due to arrive to say the apartment was ready to we can check in when we like. Last year the only gripe I had was the unreliable WIFI connection. They must have updated it as this year it's been spot on. 
Perfect location and I can't wait to come back in 2023

We had a lovely time here. The apartments had everything we needed, and were in an ideal location - very close to local amenities, and the sea. 
We also met one of the property managers and his partner (Ewan and Rachel) and they were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. 
I would certainly recommend staying here.

Apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our four night stay. There is building work going on, however for the price we paid we can't really complain about it. We had asked if we could have an early check in and were told they couldn't promise it. So it was a pleasant surprise when they rang us at 1.30pm on the day of our arrival to say our apartment was ready! 

Thank you so much for making our 4 day stay 7th sept to 9th sept 2021 comfortable and relaxing, from the moment we opened the door quality furniture all mod cons clean tidy and being the first time we have stayed in an apartment in Uk was great...every one so friendly loads to do and we hopefully will return again for a longer stay...we live in Cornwall so Westward Ho! is real easy to get too...thanks you all you do a great job... john an lesley with Ted who loved it too

We loved everything about the apartments at West Beach. The kitchen was really clean and there was a scouring sponge and tea towel to use. There was a fridge and separate freezer, a coffee machine, kettle, along with tea/coffee/milk etc to use upon arrival. Very pleased to see that there was an iron and ironing board to use.

3 good size wardrobes to use along with drawers. The bathroom was really tidy, there was 1 toilet roll for us to use and a small and large towel for every person.
There was lots of parking at the apartments, but i'm not sure if there would be a space for everyone if all apartments were full? We got a space every time we needed to though.

2 x TV's and a dvd player.

Children's playground just around the corner, along with some bars, restuarants and shops.

Really chuffed and would highly recommend these apartments. We will be booking again.

The only thing that I would have changed was the buzzing coming from the hot water tank cupboard.

There was wifi, but it was intermittent - really not an issue for us whatsoever (as there is wifi in all the bars, cafes and restaurants).

A MUST VISIT!! VIEW FROM OUR APARTMENT

If my memory serves me well, then this has been our 5th Stay at West Beach. We still like it here. It's a clean spacious apartment, with the mod cons and home comforts you'd want and expect.
Where as many of the accomodation options in north Devon seem to have gone through the roof, West Beach remains generally affordable, though i'd always recommend booking direct. The admin staff, like everyone else are always on it.
Potential guests should be made aware that the stunning images of the complex are only half the story. The complex is only about 50% inhabitated. 25% near complete, yet empty and sadly 25% derelict, crumbling, unfinished ruin. Id like to think that one day it'll be all brought into shape, but my guess not. 
The above should not put guests off, the location is great, like I said, we like it here.
Other little niggles this time were the security lights in the walkways mean that the back bedrooms are near daylight, all through the night, which didn't aid sleep quality for my daughter or granddaughter. At age 4 my granddaughter couldn't believe that it want time to get up! 😭
We were offered black out blinds, but were later told that none were available.
Some of our doors didn't catch, as they should. But none of these minor issues would stop us going again.

Superb apartments

Just spent 5 days here in  apartment 2212. 
Apartments are lovely clean and look the part, however there is a few minor issues that need fixing: lots of bulbs not working, light directly over the shower head in bathroom may as well not be on, a few doors don't close into the keepers, paint drops all over the floor and big hole in a plinth under kitchen sink. Having said that still had a wonderful stay, free WiFi, plenty of parking but I think some signs are needed to state extra spaces around the side under blocks one and two.
Also apartment gets very hot and I mean hot, OK to open balcony doors if on high floor during the night but not so sure if on ground floors.
Overall great location & great stay.  Would return again.

Last minute booking.  Not easy to find as we approached from a different direction.  Really good information though.  Easy parking and lift working.  Clean and spacious flat but a few drafts through windows and doors.  we'll equipped and would visit again off season.  Would be too busy in high season and building work is in progress.  Just a few minutes walk to shops and eateries.  Glad I took a good torch as got dark walking up to the flat.

Westbeach apartments fantastic

We were supposed to be staying at other accommodation in North Devon, in Lee, Ilfracombe, but when they messaged me at the last minute to say - no bedding, sheets, pillow cases, bath towels, bath mats, tea towels, etc. Oh and a £150 bond was required in case of damages, I got in touch to say " a big fat nope" be warned people, not every accommodation is as good as West Beach Resort. I'd not advise anyone to book at Whitestone apartments,  I'm still waiting for my refund, and it's been a couple weeks now...
Anyway we'd stayed at West Beach before and felt lucky to be able to get in at last minute.
There really is every home comfort. Spotlessly clean with - Microwave, dishwasher, good beds... its a short walk to the beach, town centre, bars, etc.
I guess if you want to enjoy the views of lundy Island, etc. Then the higher floors will help...
A nice touch was that we got a phone call, that we could check in early.
I'm not sure how I feel about the £24 dog fee, for a pet friendly stay, but when I'm giving an 8/9 out of 10 for our stay, what can I do?
Would definitely recommend this accommodation. Will definitely go again.

Great base for visiting North Devon.

This was the second time my friend and I have stayed here, the apartment was immaculate with a fully fitted kitchen with everything you need, the beds were comfy with good quality bed covers, we had a bit of a side view of the sea you’re near to the sea front and shops now the negative.
The building site next to the apartments is a eye sore we even saw some rats 😱 it’s very dark on a night so as two ladies it was a bit unnerving going out we  wouldn’t of been able to if you were alone the slope down to the sea front really could do with resurfacing it’s breaking up and quite uneven impassable in the dark.
We enjoyed our holiday but because of the lighting which made us quite nervous I don’t think we would go back which is a shame as the apartment was nice with a lovely view and Westward Ho is a beautiful destination.
