Paloma Hotel

I visit Paloma last month and was more than great. Perfect place and atmosphere, delicious food and everything was just fantastic as the barthender Mustafa - always smily and positive. I will come again! For sure!!!!

Just come here 2 days ago , small but very clean hotel near by center , rooms are cleaning daily and everyday fresh Tavel everyday staff were perfect and helpful hopefully will be first option hotel in Gumbet

Excellent hotel located in the centre of Gumbet, perfect location for a great night out, relaxing on the beach or a day's shopping.
The hotel has fantastic facilities and the rooms are always spotless. Nothing is ever too much for the staff here and they go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. A special thank you to the hotel's restaurant and bar manager, Ayhan, for being so welcoming and a good laugh throughout our stay. It wouldn't have been the same without your friendly and charismatic personality!

Booked for a week for us a family On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful the five of us had 3 rooms all with A/C very nice rooms in the same block and same floor.

The food was ok buffet style on all meals so you can pick what you wanted.
Pool and bar excellent clean and good service.

The all the staff at the hotel are great the restaurant and hospitality manager Ayhan was very helpful on everything even called and booked us on a boat trip and told us the best places to go to visit and eat

We stayed one night.  We had two rooms.  Second room was huge.  AC in that room did not work that well but it was ok.  Breakfast and dinner was ok.   Friendly, helpful staff.  Cute small buildings.  They have lots of stairs in the lobby area.  You have to carry your suitcase.  Same with the cute 3 floor buildings, there is no elevators, you have to carry your suitcase.  

Family of 9 stayed for 11 nights all various ages we had 5 rooms between us which were all very clean and roomy . The air conditioning was free which is unusual for Turkey and a nice surprise. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and bedding cannot praise the cleaning staff enough apart from their early morning wake up calls but at least we got out in the sun . Breakfast was traditionally Turkish but we all found something we could eat . The bar and reception staff didn’t speak much English which at times especially when I lost my safe key was a bit of an issue but with google translate we managed . I would recommend this hotel and hope to return one day 


Just spent 11 nights in the Paloma ... 9 family members with 4 rooms. Was a bit worried as there were very few reviews but was delighted to discover the hotel is a hidden gem. The hotel seems to cater for mostly Turkish coach trip/short stay parties . I think they were a bit shocked to get a party of British tourists. The staff spoke little English however they could not be nicer & more helpful, the reception staff helped us with family dramas. The bar & waiting staff were brilliant. Breakfast was a busy affair due to the coach parties however there is a large buffet selection. After breakfast the hotel emptied and we basically got the pool to ourselves. The cleaning staff did an excellent job however don’t expect a long lie as they are used to coach trips they are used to getting the rooms cleaned early. There were clean towels & sheets every day. Air conditioning is free of charge and there were safety deposit boxes available for 12.5 lira a day. The hotel food and bar prices were no more expensive than anywhere else with an Efes costing 15 lira and a can of juice 7.5 lira. I would recommend the chip butty which at 11 lira would feed a family of 4. We brought crisps & ice lolly’s to the pool every day and brought in water/ juice etc for the rooms and no one bothered. This hotel is perfect for bar street & the beach and is really quiet at night. We all had a fantastic stay and we have stayed in various hotels in gumbet and this is definitely up there with the best budget ones. 

We decided to do a budget holiday to Turkey and take our teenage children with us. The staff were very friendly right from the start. Ayhan (restaurant and bar manager) very friendly always made sure we were ok and happy. Gave us ideas of where to visit and even booked excursions for us. Simon barman and Ahmed made the kids week always having a laugh and chatting with them. Reception staff also very friendly. Good was plentiful, when it's quiet we had al a carte menu..loads of food, when the hotel got busy it was a buffet. Breakfast the same. Food was always fresh. Cleanliness of hotel.....wow spotless! Our shower head broke one evening, within 5 minutes the maintenance staff had come in and fitted a new one. The pool area is lovely and the pool is fab. Location is Gumbet is also great. We will definately be back and highly recommend. Only downside mosquitos remember your zapper and repellent.

We went there for vacation. Bodrum was the best place that I have seen for vacation. The Hotel Paloma is moderate. It is really close to the street of bars in Gumbet. It is 15 minutes distance to the center of Bodrum with public transportation that makes your vacation perfect. Cleaning, safety and service was really good except air conditioner. The hotel extra charged us for the days that we used air conditioner. moreover, when we used it, we saw that air conditioner had worked at a fixed temperature. The temperature was not enough so it was hardly to sleep at night. If you don't stay a lot of time in hotel, I advise this hotel, otherwise it will be difficult to stay at that hotel because of hot.

Really nice

It's such a shame to have to write a negative review about someone as i always try to be optimistic. This place however needs a hue overhaul. The staff at reception are incredibly creepy and rude. Our door for the entire stay did not unlock with out key so they used a master key to open it and told us to leave the door ajar to get in and out. Obviously we didn't want to do that as we had our belongings in our room and didn't want anyone to just walk in and help themselves. Staff weren't apologetic about the situation and acted like it was an inconvenience to have to unlock the door for us (they couldn't have just gotten us a new swipe key or fixed the faulty one we had) Other guest had the same problems but nothing was done for them either. They also had a very strange policy that i've never seen anywhere else: you cannot bring and food or drink from outside at all. I understand you can't do this in the restaurant area or by the pool but couldn't even take a bottle of water to our room without being questioned and verbally abused! Ridiculous. We did meet the owner on the last day and he was lovely so it is a shame his staff are so terrible but he needs to know so he can fix these issues. Until these issues are resolved definitely do not stay here.
