Do not expect a luxury but this place is giving a really good basic accommodation. The rooms are clean, beds comfy, with modern bathroom. A bit far from the city center but we only paid £5 for a taxi to get there. Nice stay

The hotel is situated in a larger villa in a quiet neighbourhood, close to a huge park. If you are not motorized there is a quite efficient tram connection to downtown Lodz. The hotel is clean and rooms are large. There is no possibility of ordering a braekfast which is a miss, although there is an access to a kitchen. You cannot really beat the price which was 90 Polish zl for a double room.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. It's situated in the outskirts of Łódź, but there's a tram stop nearby, so getting to the strict centre during the day isn't a problem. There's also a small shop a few minutes away. We went there to have a quiet weekend and I know Łódź pretty well (the city is not your dream holiday destination - one of the ugliest ones in Poland), so we didn't need a a place near the centre. Our room was ok - double bed was comfortable, bathroom - clean. We also had a small tv in the room (5 polish channels only though). It's true what other reviewers say - walls between rooms are very thin but what was really the problem was the kitchen. It's really basic so it was impossible do cook anything there. Despite our efforts we had to order a pizza. 
Generally - for the price it's good. If you don't mind living in a quiet area far from everything for a few nights - i recommend it. But if you like to go out a lot- find something closer to the heart of the city.

A bit far away from the centre but for me that was not an issue. It's a fairly quiet place and for what it was, it didn't disappoint. Owner was helpful and all in all, it was a happy experience for me. Warning don't go if you're expecting luxury.

Cheap, basic but clean and comfortable

It's not a bad place

Not a hotel as such but a newish six bedroom annex in a residence back garden. The plumbing and heating (no a/c) was sound but bring your own towel and soap as only one hand towel is supplied and not changed daily. I think they might be somebodys cast offs as I noticed a different though equally small towel in the next room that happened to be open. No maid service either not that it takes much to rearrange a duvet. Bed wasn't overly comfortable. Only real gripe was the lack of sound proofing in the party walls, everything is overheard from the neighbours and I had one night that was really embarrassing. TV is all Polish no CNN. Hot drink facilities are provided but bring your own ingredients. No meals on site or vending machine and the small kitchen is basic. Minerska is right out on the edge of the city in the Zdrowie area as well and there is nothing there but a few houses. There are not so many hotels in Lodz and they seem pricey, 6 Minerska is OK if you just want somewhere to crash out and haven't set your sights too high. Public transport was reasonable, trams 9 and 43, stop Zdrowie (only 50 yards away from Minerska bus stop). Bus 6 and 76 (stop Minerska) run 2 or 3 to the hour. Catch a 6 from outside Kaliska rail station, the L bus from the airport stops there. 24 hour tickets are 9.60 Zloty approx £2 but will be a bit more now with sterling in freefall. The trams are real clunkers, filthy, graffitied inside, with rusty bodywork, uncomfortable seats, there are few modern ones. Busses are better but both trams and busses can get pretty crowded at any time of day. The roads are something else as well. I found cabs cheap as chips but there is no uniform colour for them and ranks are not common either plus the streets are not exactly bristling with cabs in motion.

Reasonable No Frills Budget Accommodation

irst, let`s make it clear:I`m not a rich tourist , choosing only 5 star. I`m used to modest conditions. But there is a minimum under I cannot go. So: 
Do you want to hear how a friend (or an unknown other human been) snores, moves, fa##s, pees....and I could continue with other normal, yet private physiological sounds ..?And that more louder than if he would have been beside you? It` s done at Nazdroviu and it`s much cheaper than in France(the kingdom of hotels with “paper” walls). The owner of the hotel just used thin plaster walls between rooms. When your neighbor opens the door(to his room, of course), it`s like hurricane Catrina, if he speaks(not loud) you hear it better than when he`s in front of you. He wants a shower?! ok, you know it and hear it. A nightmare...
Other characteristics of the place: Very far from everything (in the middle of nowhere, actually), not very clean, with one and only towel provided (and so small!!!... it`s a hand towel, not smth. for a normal person). They boast with a kitchen, but there is not a single metal pot to be used on the stove (I wanted to heat for 5 minutes an instant soup but had to give up).During an entire afternoon: no hot water and the heat stopped(the owner seemed out, so no showers allowed)
You may say that if I want better, I just have to pay more. The problem is that I had the feeling that I didn`t get at all what I paid for. 
Some pros: the rooms are adequately heated, the internet is working well and, of course, the price is rather low. But this is not a touristic place so low prices are not unusual.
I somehow liked Lodz(old industrial buildings are some of my favorites and I have a constant admiration for the polish people) but if , by a strange turn of fate, I`d be obliged to return, I`ll choose better to stay in a tent, than in a room where I can have no privacy and quietness. Don`t be mislead by the pictures...it looks nice but the noise turns everything in a bad joke..
Ah, and be aware about the use of English: even though the owner knows some, most of the Poles around don`t. So if you need some directions in the town, forget it...
