Summer Beach Maldives

Summer Beach Maldives was the perfect place to spend two nights in Male before flying out to our resort on Kooddoo. Our room on the 8th floor was clean, comfortable and quiet at night. We had a wall of windows with a small side window as well and the views of Summer Beach, the King Salman Mosque and the friendship bridge were stunning. The location is extremely convenient to the airport as well as to the city's sights. We felt perfectly safe walking around and exploring. Tired from very long flights, we ended up eating all our meals at Summer Beach Maldives and enjoyed the food and those views. The staff at Summer Beach Maldives are really exceptional. They did everything they could to make our trip easy. Sansana at the front desk even arranged to store some of our luggage and have it delivered to us at the airport when we returned from Kooddoo. We were so grateful and impressed! (Weight limits on the smaller planes to the outer islands was a problem as we had to pack coats, boots, scarves, etc. for 5 weeks post-Maldives in a cold climate.) Front desk staff also coordinated with our resort on Kooddoo regarding plane times, etc. Transfers to and from the airport provided by Summer Beach Malives were seamless and prompt. The only slight issue I'd mention is that the air condition struggled a bit to catch up in the beginning since the sun on the windows can be brutal. Once the a/c caught up, it was fine, though, and we just left it on. In sum, I highly recommend Summer Beach Maldives and would happily stay there again.
