Garni Irsara

Garni Irsara is a lovely, small B&B outside San Cassiano. Our room was a good size for two but would have been a little tight if there had been three of us, but there was space for a full length single bed for the third person. Room was simple but nicely furnished, ditto the bathroom. The building has obviously been refurbished fairly recently - everything seemed very modern and nicely done. Bar area has comfortable benches. The pizzas (Fri/Sat/Sun) were absolutely delicious, and the cheese and meat plates on another night were enormous and very good also.Breakfast seemed good and plentiful. The hotel has arranged a free ski bus service every 15 mins or so - literally door to door - we could not have asked for any closer. Obviously there's no skiing to anywhere nearby, but between the bus and driving to the further areas it was better than most ski in/ski out places we have visited. The owners (and their children) were lovely and really helpful, despite my lack of German and their lack of English. I probably should give this 1 star otherwise everyone will go there and we will never be able to book again - but it certainly deserves the 5 stars. A lovely place that we will definitely revisit.
