This is very exciting for me and my sister going abroad together. The room is in one of the huge building in Xiamen. No aircon, we dont need one because it was winter when we got there. Its so safe in the building, the staff can also help you reheat food etc. Xiamen is a port city on China’s southeast coast, across a strait from Taiwan. It encompasses 2 main islands and a region on the mainland. Formerly known as Amoy, it was a British-run treaty port from 1842 to 1912. Many Europeans and Japanese lived on Gulangyu, today a vehicle-free island with beaches and meandering streets lined with old colonial villas. Its very convenient to go around, we went to Xiamen's CBD, Xiamen University, colonial houses on Gulangyu Island, South Putuo Temple, beach on Gulangyu Island, and Haicang Bridge. Most amazing is the Gulangyu island for photo opt and Hulishan Fortress with the canyons, theater act shows etc.
