Stayed 4 nights while visiting relatives and seeing sites in the area.  House is situated in Weaverville, which is a smaller, more approachable setting while still within easy reach of sites.  House itself is quaint Victorian that is welcoming.  Main house exterior and rented rooms were clean and well appointed.  Those are the positives.  Apparently, the hosts no longer rent rooms in the main house and rent out two rooms in a building connected to the main house by a covered walkway.  They no longer offer breakfast or afternoon treats.  We were offered two muffins on two mornings. Rooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side with marginal free space for luggage or toiletries without compromising traffic around bed, to bathroom and in the bathroom.  Days and nights were unseasonably hot and the window AC was noisy and likely to wake up sleepers when it ran numerous times throughout the night.  No ceiling fan to help with circulation. Internet was available, but other than a few hours on the first night, we were unable to connect for the remainder of the stay.  We let the hosts know of internet problems on the 2nd day, but the situation didn’t improve.  Other than a few random hellos and brief exchanges with the hosts, we really didn’t have an opportunity to know how welcoming they could be.  For the price, knowing it doesn’t include breakfast or snacks, and other limitations noted above, I probably couldn’t recommend to others nor would I book there again if/when I return to the Asheville area.

Not Longer as good as other reviews from prior year

It was a pleasure staying with Dan & Nancy. Their charming bnb is peaceful and homely, with lots of character and run very well. Breakfast was always varied and delicious. The freshly prepared snacks and beverage each evening were a lovely look forward to after a day hiking. They're located in the perfect place to explore Asheville (about 10 mins down the road by car), The Biltmore (about 15mins) and no end of wonderful hikes/trails, the stunning Blue Ridge Parkway and many other scenic treats. Quaint Weaverville has some great restaurant options if you don't want to venture far and Dan and Nancy have many recommendations that they're more than happy to share for whatever it is you're looking for. I would happily stay here again and only wish I'd had longer this time.

Delightful stay

I brought my family here for a couple of nights and Dan and Karen made our stay wonderful. all of the rooms were quaint and had everything needed. Now the breakfast YUM!! Fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and the best waffles ever! They even made a gluten free waffle for my husband. The afternoon cookies and snacks kept my Mother busy with talking with other guests while we were out. We did a bus tour of Asheville which was great.

Charming B & B near Asheville.

Celebrated my husband's birthday with a one night stay in this charming B&B. Owners very friendly and gave us good info on nearby restaurants . Room was on first floor and was very quiet. The inn is right in the heart of the little sleepy town . Breakfast was lovely with homemade goodies and fruit. My husband is diabetic , sweet of Dan to make low sugar muffins .

Peaceful stay

A B&B should set itself apart from a hotel - which also provides a bed and, often, a breakfast - by offering something extra, some lagniappe. And this nice, quiet and peaceful place does just that. My stay was short, but I did get to sample the beautiful landscaping, the great cottage room adjacent to the main building, breakfast on the back porch and sitting on the side porch adjacent to my room, a short walk to town and the nice owners. Well done.
