Not a hotel I would go back. Room #4 needs a remodel. Bathroom was full of mildew. Vanity is broken. The main street is really noisy. Noisier than I thought I will be. Hotel probably has no insulation and crappy one pane windows which do not keep the noise regulated.

My friend and I were about to book the Hampton Inn because I’m a Diamond member there when I looked at this motel online and saw we could get two rooms for the price of one at the Hampton .

Cute cute themed rooms. Very clean with extras like a real coffeemaker, fridge, microwave. Special coffee to use better than the usual provided in motels.

I was in the John Wayne room with clearly a new king log frame bed, loveseat, table & chairs and fun decor. Ceiling fan. Three individual little rooms: one for tub/shower, another with toilet/sink , then the third with additional sink and mirror. Nice lotion, bath amenities in each.

What I personally love is being able to step outside my door for morning coffee and fresh air…2 chairs right outside my door. Very apparent the owners care about this place.

I suggest you call to pick your room rather than using a third party website.

Yes!! Adore this Place!

Vintage, but updated motel. Loads of charm. We stayed in the Willie Nelson room and it was decorated so cute. Comfortable bed, very clean and good towels. We even had covered parking. This motel is located toward the east end of town. It is walk-able to downtown if you are used to walking, but would not be if you have issues walking very far. We loved our stay there and will return. 

Great place to stay in Fredericksburg, TX

Older roadside hotel.   Clean and reasonably priced.  Great coffee that is made for them.  Plus cost and clean.  Downside is the room was musty with a load AC unit.  One of the strangest layouts ever so I don’t know what it was.  The floors were soft meaning it felt like you would fall through them.

Cheap stay but you get what you pay for.

Stayed in the double queen suite. The retro look and feel took me back to road trips in the station wagon without being a caricature like so many are. Location is great for exploring Fredricksburg and the area. Kitchenette is big enough to make a long weekend worth of breakfast and dinner if you wanted to. Only drawback was some attention needed for cabinet handles and the lack of some necessary cooking items(I attribute that to some sticky finger edges guest as everything else is here). Not a high end finish place, just welcoming and relaxing with a friendly staff.

Great traditional family-run motel - it's a 1930s building just outside of the main part of downtown Fredricksburg. It's not a 5* hotel but also doesn't charge like one. The beds are pretty firm and rooms were clean. It's not as polished as the chains but I'd much rather support a local independent business and stay here instead. Owners were charming and good communicators. Recommended.

Great traditional motel: friendly service, family owned, clean spacious room, big TV and good value. We're definitely returning and don't think you'll be disappointed.  Good bbq joint across the road.

This hotel may be in transition but for the paid price it was a bit ridiculous. The beds were comfortable enough but the old furniture (not quaint) funky bathroom with a broken cold water knob  and no plug for the drain and a dark parking lot  made for a stay that was gladly left behind!  It seemed the management could've cared less. They were rarely in the office and upon check out were "oh, well" about problems in the room. Don't believe the pictures. it was a 1950's space without the 50's charm. Check your room before you pay for it.

This property is too old and in desperate need of renovation.  Essentially it is an old hotel that has seen better days and is not well maintained.  We had a total of four rooms and all shared similar problems with poor plumbing, overloaded electrical circuit, ceiling tiles falling, doors not weather sealed and poor lighting.  We stayed there because we needed a place that was pet friendly.  Although it was relatively close to downtown, that convenience did not make up for the overpriced and nearly run down motel.  The property needs such extensive renovation that it would be cheaper to knock it down and build new.  I would never recommend this motel; not good at any price.

This is an old renovated motel, sheets and room were clean but someone did not clean the blood splatter off the wall.  The Kitchen light has no "Off" switch and one best like sleeping with bright lights in the other room.

It is very overpriced and NOT worth the $300+ they charged for the night
