This was a delightful find! When I travel for business I prefer to stay at a quieter place. The Thornton Inn is lovely. The owners greeted me when I arrived--offered me a glass of wine and made sure I had everything I needed. 
Breakfast was wonderful! One morning both owners joined me for coffee. The rooms are of a nice size, the bathrooms are very nice (walk in showers-brand new) and the decor is warm and inviting. I highly recommend The Thornton Inn. 

Business Travel to Arlington

This place is absolutely the best stay we have been to. It’s a home and feels like home. We will be back for sure. Breakfast was cooked for us every morning and it was spectacular. So glad we didn’t stay in a hotel.

Best b & b

Loved the place. Everything was clean and comfortable. Innkeepers Terry and Sunny made you feel at home and Louise made some amazing meals for breakfast. Made friends with some of the other guests even exchanging contact info. So much fun. !

Great place to stay for football weekend Auburn and Oregon

The purpose of our staying at Thornton Inn was for a reunion with a cousin of mine that I hadn't seen in 42 years. She had a connecting flight at DFW with a 9 hour layover. We arrived the evening before and were warmly welcomed by the owner. Our guestroom was comfortable and spacious, lacking no amenities. The next day we woke up to the smell of bacon and fresh coffee. Very appetizing, hardy breakfast. The B&B was perfect for spending the hours with my cousin until her flight later that afternoon. Could have actually slipped into a nap if we weren't careful. That's how comfortable the couches were. Saw my cousin off and stayed one more night. Another tasty breakfast, conversation with the owners, and out the door back to Houston. If opportunity allows, we would stay here again. Oh, and we got to meet their dog Thor. :-)

COUSIN REUNION

Oh my goodness where do I begin! I am from Arlington and I had always driven by this fantastic place. I got married November 2018 and we hosted 2 wedding events at the Thornton Inn. The Friday night before our wedding, we hosted our rehearsal dinner here. Terry set up the tent and made sure all of the lights were working- he even purchased a heater for the tent! That night, all of my bridesmaids and myself stayed the night here. We rented the entire house and it was absolutely perfect and beautiful. The next morning, Terry and Sunny made us a delicious breakfast. We all had our hair and makeup done at Thornton Inn and the setup was perfect- so much room! I will forever be grateful to Terry and Sunny for hosting our wedding events. They were so gracious, kind, and I will always remember their hospitality during such a special time in my life

Perfect spot for night before/ morning of wedding!

Terry and Sunny were awesome. The place is beautiful and breakfast was cooked fresh and delicious.  It was like going to a relatives house for a visit.  We will be back next time we are in Arlington.  The place is close to ATT Stadium and some great dining.

Great Stay and wonderful place

This was my first experience of an American b&b, let alone one a Texan one so I have no comparisons I can make. All I know is that I couldn't have been happier, and really appreciated the warm welcome from hosts Terry and Sunni.

The aim was to provide a home from home and that was achieved. I really appreciated the availability of a coffee at any time plus a glass of wine or a beer. I also enjoyed the breakfasts which changed from day to day to ensure I returned home with an appreciation of some Texan delicacies! 

Nice people - nice place to stay, and particularly convenient for the University.

A real welcome

I chose the Thornton Inn because of it’s close proximity to the UT campus where my conference was being held, and had a wonderful stay. 

Terry stayed late to accommodate my late arrival, and woke up early to have breakfast ready for me when I requested it. Breakfast was great (usually eggs and bacon). Terry provided suggestions for food and directions for getting around. A very pleasant host! 

The rooms are spotless, completely updated and better than a lot of the big chain hotels I’ve stayed at. 

A word of caution—noise really carries throughout the house. It was not very busy when I was there, so no complaints on my end. 

Beautiful B&B with updated amenities!

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Thornton Inn in Arlington, Texas.  This lovely historic building has been converted into a superb Bed and Breakfast.  My room was excellent.  Terry who runs this establishment does an outstanding job.  When I explained to him that I was a vegan, he prepared delicious vegan breakfasts for me.  During my visit, I attended two Texas Rangers games at Globe Life Park.  Terry provided me with transportation to and from the ballpark.  He drove me to the park at the precise time I requested.  Each day, he picked me up immediately after the ballgame. The Thornton Inn is one of the finest Bed and Breakfasts I have ever stayed at.
