Management has changed hands. The impeccable, charming cozy inn is gone. 😢 Privacy shades are gone, bedroom window now open to hotel/parking lot next door. Moldy shower, no cold water in bathroom sink, cobwebs on walls, nasty dirty carpet, broken dresser blocking parking space, balcony used as a storage unit, smells like cigarettes 🚬 & weed, no coffee/breakfast (probably a good thing). A few folks who seem to live in some of the rooms, skanky folks in & out @ very late hours. What happened to our wonderful inn? 🤯 Disappointing & SAD!

Impeccable, Charming Cozy Inn is GONE 🆘🤯

Our stay here was a bit of a nightmare. There was a mix-up regarding the rooms; the manager demanded that we pay more than had been quoted before & was very dismissive/disrespectful thereafter. Eventually, when we paid, he refused to hand us back our change. Room was okay, but sheets were stained.

Nightmarish.

I was very pleased with Heritage. Sweet, eclectic and old world charm. Teresa was the best! My room was very clean, although I shared the bathroom, it was also kept very clean. I loved the little touches, plus having a sink/running water in my room was an added bonus. The location was perfect for travel. Teresa's breakfast was fantastic! I will definitely stay at Heritage again. Thank you Teresa for being such a wonderful and thoughtful host. I really enjoyed meeting you and your daughter as well. Stay well. See you soon~

Passing Through

We've stayed at the Heritage many times over the years when we visit our niece and her family in SLO and we always look forward to the experience. We like Georgia the owner and the great breakfasts made by her and her assistants, and we like the charm of this Victorian, and we like how easy it is to hop onto Santa Rosa Street and zip downtown. We like that they like our dog Bella and we like the prices. The road outside can be noisy during the day, but it dies down at night. We'll be back there soon--maybe we'll see you there.

Charming, not too pricey, friendly

Guests of the Inn are invited to sit outside next to the stream in the Inn's private garden which is filled with flowers.

Both the Innkeeper and the Owner gave me such a gracious welcome and I was very comfortable throughout my weeklong stay.  The breakfast is delicious.

Not an exciting title, I'll admit but 3 important characteristics when you're looking for a place to stay. The house is lovely, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff - especially Teresa! - are welcoming and helpful...and the brownies are to die for!! (To have brownies waiting when we arrived from a much-delayed train trip was a sweet end to an exhausting day.) Would definitely stay here again!

Clean, comfortable, and affordable

When visiting Cal Poly students, we stay at the the Heritage Inn. So convenient and so welcoming, both to the traveler and the student! Great variety of delicious choices at breakfast, wine and cheese in the late afternoon, a quiet living room to relax and chat. We book the downstairs room with the en suite bathroom. which is quiet.

Home Away From Home

I always choose to stay at Heritage Inn on my frequent visits to San Luis Obispo.  The hostesses, Georgia and Teresa, prepare a delicious breakfast - frittata, sausages, coffee cake, fresh fruit, and hot coffee.  If you have a particular need, such as a dietary request, transportation information, or how to locate a store, you are in good hands because they both know the city well.

You will have a wonderful visit with them, I'm sure, because I have stayed there at least 6 times and always had a good experience.

Comfortable and Welcoming B&B

Please don't take my 4 stars as a criticism.   I give out 5 sparingly on hotels.   The reason I say this is that while it is a lovely lodging, it has a more " lived in " look to it in that some of the antiques are in an unrestored condition.   Not necessarily a bad thing at all, the inn just doesn't" have the pristine look of some B&Bs.   Having said that, my stay was very enjoyable and Georgia a personable hostess who makes a good breakfast.  I had arrived on Amtrak from the northe and it is exactly a one mile walk to the inn - easy to find, but most folks would probably prefer a ride.   There are no TVs and phones in this inn, which is fine with me.   ( These days I bring up National Public Radio on my iPad! )     The collection of antiques and mementoes is quite interest provoking and I learned something from Georgia -  Obispo means " bishop. "

Very fine B&B

We stopped at a place like this for the first time in our lives. The dollhouse of a cheerful siren color. The interior is pseudo-starring and eclectic. Very entertaining. Each room is decorated in a different color, including even a towel in the shower. By the way, the shower and toilet are NOT in ANY NOMBER. The rooms are small, it's hard to get up with luggage on the stairs. We only have to get the most necessary things out of the suitcases. The recipe works a limited number of hours, which is not always convenient, especially for the transit toilet. The center of the city is not within easy reach, which is also inconvenient. The place that is called the patio is actually four months away from the shower, and I think it's worth a hundred dollars, but we found it to be a pretty reasonable room.
