Room was lovely, bed comfy, felt private.Breakfast was amazing! Get the bacon.Ground were very nice as well.

Lovely room, great breakfast with a good selection. Location really nice.

We had a relaxing 3 night stay with Carolyn. Lovely bedroom with large en-suite bathroom in a peaceful, rural location. We enjoyed the breakfasts as well as Carolyn’s home cooked evening meals, both of which gave lots of choice. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you Carolyn 🙏

We stayed here for two nights to attend a nearby wedding. The accommodation was lovely. Large spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Carolyn was very welcoming and went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

A actual country house. Only 5 guest rooms. The property is just gorgeous and very well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were top notch. Breakfast was delicious. It was a true experience, highly recommend if you can get a reservation.

Rockmoor House was a lovely place to stay - about 6 miles from Alnwick. The room was large and very comfortable. The bed was massive and really comfy. There was a wide variety of options for breakfast, which was excellent

Beautiful period property. Lovely gardens and surroundings. Extremely comfortable bed and living space. Delicious home cooked breakfast with a large selection of continental products and yoghurts/cereals. Looking forward to coming back again

We stayed overnight. It is a beautiful Georgian house . We had a very comfortable stay . The breakfast was delicious and we received a very warm welcome .Full marks. The house is situated just outside Alnwick , a magnificent and historical part of England. I would wholeheartedly recommend Rock Moore House for a luxury stay

Luxurious and gentile B&B

We stayed at Rock Moor House on New Years Eve as we had a wedding locally and had a wonderful stay. They were so flexible with all our timings and we especially loved the delicious breakfast. Carolyn was especially kind in posting an item to me that I had accidentally left behind - she was so communicative and helpful. We would definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay

Really lovely bed and breakfast. We stayed due to attending a wedding locally so didn't fully utilise facilities during our stay but nonetheless we were impressed with our stay. 

Room was clean and comfortable (noisy bed only complaint) and the breakfast was wonderful. Vegan diner was very well accommodated for. 

We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose 

Lovely stay for a local wedding 

Beds are comfortable, bathroom was roomy and well equipped. Fluffy towels. Toilet a bit low. Breakfast was very good. Loads of choice including full English, salmon bagel, eggs Benedict and omelette. All freshly cooked. Also loads of fresh fruit, breads, joghurt and so many different cereals and muesli. A lovely guest livingroom.

Very relaxing

this is a lovely property tucked away off the main A1 road about 10 minute drive from Alnwick. On arrival we didn't feel the greeting from the host was in any way personable so that was not a good first impression. we were told on arrival the breakfast starts at 8 and ends at 9.30 ; ourselves and another couple were down at 8.15 and the cereal choices were all out but no milk or hot drinks and the host finally appeared at arounds 8.25 and seemed surprised we were already there? After that the hot drinks and cooked food choices were swiftly taken and two more couples appeared and it seemed as though the staff were not fully prepared but once everything arrived the quality of the breakfast was very good but again no personal conversation about how we slept; did we find somewhere to eat the previous evening etc. and for a house with only 5 guest rooms i expected more personal interaction. Our room was clean and pleasant and the bed and very comfy and very quiet; the light / shaver pointover the sink in the shower room didnt work which was a minor inconvenience. These niggles made this a 3-4 star stay as opposed to 5.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Excellent breakfast, relaxing atmosphere, clean spacious and comfortable room. The house is in a good  position for trips to the coast etc and is situated in its own grounds making for a quiet location. Caroline is very welcoming and informal. We ate in the house 4 of the 5 nights that we were there and were well pleased with the quality and value for money of the evening meals. 

Thoroughly enjoyable stay

Beautiful setting, large rooms that were very clean and well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, handwash and lotion as well as hairdryer. Yea and coffee facilities in the room as well as nespresso machine were in the hallway. Large selection of breakfast, liked there was an effort to ensure food was locally sourced. Cooked breakfast was okay, eggs Benedict not so great. Staff could have been more welcoming and friendly, checkin it was like they weren’t expecting us at all and I felt I was an inconvenience and putting them out.

We had 3 nights in this lovely old house, ideally situated close to Alnwick and the beautiful Northumberland coastline with its quiet beeches, lovely castles and gardens. Our host was very friendly and helpful and provided amazing  choices for breakfast. The rooms were large and traditionally furnished. Overall a very enjoyable few days. Thanks.

Beautiful house, location and breakfasts.

Quiet, secluded, extremely comfortable English country house. Everything about this place is top quality without being over the top. Large very well decorated and furnished bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms. Breakfasts from full English to bagel and lox, fresh fruit, cereals, they have it all. Charming and welcoming host. We were there for a wedding in February held at another country house, pretty much out of season but the location is typical beautiful Northumberland. When we travel this way again we will surely remember to come back.

Northumberland country house escape

This B&B is possibly the most comfortable one I’ve ever stayed at. The decor and views are wonderful, the breakfast offerings are plentiful and well made. Fresh bread, cereals, full English, bagels, fresh fruits, poached eggs, absolutely delicious. Next time we’re in need of a place to stay in the area we will definitely be booking a stay here!
