I thought I had given advice but no and yet... the a few steps are quickly forgotten with the kindness of the owner, who goes down those steps easily... after 2 days they are easier to climb:-) A lovely welcome, a small bathroom with toiletries available. And a little dej'... Excellent. I have never eaten such a good smoked salmon. Thank you to the owners for this very good stay.

Very good.

Comfy and spotlessly clean room, with a really calm and relaxing atmosphere. Great breakfast, lovely view. Our host was professional and made us feel very welcome, giving us some great tips on walking and eating out. 10/10! 

Wish we had longer

Lovely clean room and well cooked and fresh breakfast, even under Covid restriction, double bed a bit small for our usual needs, nice showeroom and convivial host made for nice one night stay before trip to Mull

Handily placed overlooking Oban

Chris made us both very welcome. The room was clean and well organised. We had to eat breakfast in our room but Chris made sure we were safe, there was plenty of choice and  the food was nice when it arrived. The b and b is well placed for getting into Oban centre and the ferry terminal. We would certainly use it again.

Excellent stay

We arrived early and Chris happily let us check in so we could drop our bags off and grab a drink before heading in to town so we could begin exploring Oban. We stayed in The State room which is traditionally decorated with a modern private ensuite. The room was clean, bright and spacious, and the B&B itself is in a great central location for Oban Ferry Terminal and road trips up to Fort William and Glencoe. There are many steps up to the front door of the B&B but Chris is more than happy to help you with your luggage (just bear this in mind if steps are an issue for you). Breakfast is served in the room due to Covid, Chris has really made an effort with how the breakfast table is presented in the room, sweetly positioned in the bay window so we could look out and watch the world go by. I'd highly recommend staying at the Briarbank Guest House when visiting Oban and we would happily stay again.

Fantastic Host and Central Location

About 35 steps UPHILL to the property  but this  keeps  you fit
Nothing a problem  for  Chris even though  breakfast  in the room  due covid
Lovely  clean room and would  stay again as central to main area and bay
Places worth  eating The Olice Garden  and Eeusk if you like fish

Worth a stay to keep fit

Lovely stay over the weekend here, would highly recommend for a long or short stay. Situated very near to the sea front but very quiet at night, wee bit of a climb to get to the property from the road but it's fine if you take your time

Fantastic stay and service

We stayed for one night before catching the ferry to Mull. What a find lovely comfortable room with a great powerful shower and a great view. You are up high so there is a number of steps to the property but Chis is there to help if you require. We felt safe as Chris has done a great job in keeping you apart at check in and out and breakfast is delivered to your room which was fantastic. Well done and I hope we can return.

Lovely Place to Stay

Having previously visited this B and B, I was keen to go back as it’s so friendly, nicely decorated and comfy. The hosts are lovely and very helpful (even letting us dry our very wet tent over their garden!) 

Lovely shortbread, coffee etc in the room on arrival and the rooms are very clean. 

Big fan of the breakfast in bed! (Due to COVID 19, they are not able to use their breakfast room so deliver it to your room in the morning) 

Lovely B and B

Well organised regarding Covid 19 and was a very comfortable room with a view over Oban. Although it was a bit of a hike uphill to the Guest House it was worth it. Breakfast was delivered to the room to meet current guidelines.
