Beech Lodge Bed and Breakfast

Absolutely brilliant 3 night stay. Kate is a lovely person who made us very welcome from the outset. Everywhere was bright, spacious and very clean. Our bedroom was larger than usual, with a lovely view and getting the sun all day. The twin beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was fine. Parking is no problem, with four spaces at the front of the house and plenty of road parking if required. The B&B is very well situated close to New Milton centre and also to Barton on Sea and the clifftop walks. The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum is only a short trip away, where they have special ride-ins every Sunday and a huge world renowned collection of bikes of all sorts. Kate was very helpful in recommending places to eat. Our first day we ate at the nearby Wheatsheaf pub, where we had excellent fish and chips at a very reasonable price. The second day we went to Compton Acres gardens in the Poole area, which are well worth a visit. We ate at "Baffi" Italian restaurant nearby, which was excellent. Our last day we ate at the House Martin, near to the accommodation. As it was Sunday, the choice was limited to Sunday Roast and a few other dishes. We had the roast, which we wouldn't recommend. Although the turkey was good, the vegetables were not hot enough (cold plates don't help). It might be OK on a different day. Best of all, Kate had kindly arranged for three days of hot sunshine for us. All in all, a lovely break with no complaints whatsoever about the accommodation. Very highly recommended. We'll be back!
