Club Alla Turca

Another wonderful stay at this hotel- my 5th visit . My stay was so chilled and relaxing. The hotel was not busy, so no sunbed wars in the morning. The hotel owners have made a lot of improvements in the grounds. Some of the big trees near the pool have been chopped down or trimmed- opening up the area, plus all the old decking in the sunbed areas in the garden have been replaced with smart grey tiles. Lovely to see the same staff as last year in the bar and restaurant, who were very attentive and gave me a warm welcome. The half board food was very good and I found plenty to eat being a vegetarian. I did meet a ‘serial moaner’ from Manchester who criticised everything. He was expecting British 4 star standards for a reasonably cheap holiday. Moaned about no kettles in room, no cooked British breakfast,tradional Turkish rooms being dated etc. etc. I can’t understand people like that who come away expecting a hotel to be like one that one would pay 3 times the price for. I met some lovely folk again who were mostly repeat guests. Newbies seemed bowled over by how wonderful the hotel is and seemed determined to return. The hotel is in a perfect position, a few minutes walk from the river path with beautiful walks nearby. Also, an easy 15 minute walk to town even with slight mobility issues. I highly recommend this hotel.
