Sintavee Hotel

Me and my boyfriend were very sceptical after reading a bunch of dissatisfied reviews. But we spent there a night first before going to ko phayam, and we found it so nice we came back there for another 3 nights after. It's not exactly what you'd call a family friendly place, but it has it's own charm that's hard to reproduce. As far as i know it's the cheapest place in ranong, and rooms are what you pay for, but decent size and well cleaned. Entire hotel is a smoking area, so non-smokers might not feel the most comfortable. Hotel has a lobby downstairs which is a wonderful chill area, where you can get a beer, make yourself an instant coffee for 15baht, and enjoy a cigarette. Or just sit and relax. Very nice atmosphere. And the staff. There are two women at the reception and they both are exceptionally friendly and really lovely. Place has a certain roughness to it, rooms are dimly lighten and you might find yourself wondering what goes on in there sometimes. But that's part of what makes it so intriguing. It's also very conveniently located, in the centre of Ranong and right by the food market. Really worth abandoning any prejudices and first impressions and giving it a chance.
