It's loud. Really loud. It's cornered by 2 bars and the music doesn't shut off until 2am, and the windows are really thin so you can hear everything (we had ear plugs in and could still hear). We stayed in a room of 12 and there was only 1 toilet, which isn't great. The wifi was good, the staff come around all the time in the morning either cleaning or kicking you out if you stay past 10am. Near the beach and all the restaurants. 

Get what you pay for

Well, it was okay first. Good price, good room, wifi, condition and ets. I paid for 2 nights. And after 1 night at 10.30 am the manager went to my room and said that I need to go out! Quickly! I said that I paid for 2 nights but she didn't care. My place was leased to other people. They returned me money for 1 night and didn't help to find another place. I was shocked and so disappointed. 

I do not recommend.

It was okey, its not so clean and the staff wasnt really nice but it works. Stayed here one night and I slept okey. The hostel is close to the beach and places to eat. It really is a party island.....

Mixed group were accommodated in a 12 bed dorm, only two showers for us which was a bit of a pain but not too bad. The bed was comfy, excellent location if you are coming for the nightlife. Right next to a constantly busy live music bar. The Mexican place opposite has a rooftop bar which plays movies, very nice place also! Wifi was okay, better downstairs. We booked all transport and the boat excursion through the staff downstairs, only one issue for the entire stay. We should have researched the issue but they also should have told us. We booked the sunset half day trip to maya bay, snorkelling, monkey islands and plankton etc. For about 500 baht, very good value however the plankton was pointless so save the extra 100 and get the 400 baht trip without the plankton part. When you get to maya bay, as it is a national park you are charged 400 baht to actually get on the beach. We assumed this was paid for within the price we paid at the hostel, they did not say otherwise so we barely had enough money to scrape together for all of us. There was a group from our hostel on the same trip as us and had not been given this information also, they stayed on the boat. If we would have known, we could have taken extra money for food and drink, instead of spending all of our money we had on the entrance. I am not blaming them, however the next day I developed severe heatstroke as I hadn't drunk enough the day before. I should have looked after myself however they should have told us about the entrance money so we could have planned our budgets accordingly. 

Group of 5, very nice stay, research your day trip though

We've stayed here twice on two different trips to Phi Phi.
Had the bottom dorm and the upstairs dorm on them separate occasions, both the same.
Ideal for what we were after.
Location is possibly the best on the island, staff are friendly and helpful.
Showers were cold but refreshing and the noise from the live music bar next door was loud at night but nobody stays in on Phi Phi haha!
Cheap compared to accommodation prices on the island.
Small issue with the bunk bed mattresses not fitting the bed space which is annoying when climbing the ladder!
Enjoyed our stay.
Would use again.

Cheap & Basic but ideal for Phi Phi

While it is true that this is commented on in the forums of the bar, there are other things that worry more at night than receptionists or security cameras. But often the guests let outsiders in. The wi-fi is fine. To get in you have to wait for check-in. No receptionists are very nice. There are small lockers in the entrance. Carry candado! There is no place to hang clothes so everyone hangs it on the beds that are slightly oxidized.

So badly received that we left straight, the reception lady tried to scam us on the price of one more person, and wanted to take my passport hostage so I could withdraw some money... what a way to welcome like this, I'm sick of it.

It's lamentable

The hostel is staffed by girls who don't speak almost any English. It's very cheap and is located in the middle of the island, between bars and restaurants. It has only one bathroom per piece, which is sometimes complicated, but that's fine.

Excellent location, normal service, good Wi-Fi.

Great location - 3 minutes to the beach, 7 minutes to the port. Suitable for young travelers to stay for 1-2 nights. Mixed room for 12 people with one toilet and shower.

It's a good one night stand.

For a backpackers it's the ideal solution: close to everything, cheap (200 baht/night) and a good atmosphere in the dorms with a tourist office.
