Casa Ai Portici

We stayed about 10 days during summer 2009 in a 2-room apartment at Casa ai Portici. The owners have been ones of the friendliest people in tourism business we have ever met; the apartment was nice, clean and fitting perfectly the web description. There was no communication problem, since the owners spoke fluently several languages. The garden behind the house, in free access for the visitors was also a very pleasant surprise. The view from the window towards the mountains was magnificient (through red flowers at the window). The location is also very nice, close to Ascona, Locarno and the famous place on Vale Verzasca used for Bungee Jumping in one of James Bond's movies, and not very far from Lugano, Swiss Miniature and Milano also. The weather was rather unpredictible, with some rainy days but also a lot of sun. The lakes nearby are wonderfully clean, full of fishes and swans. All in all a highly recommended place for holidays.
