Fjellbäcka is a lovely little place worth a visit but the hotel certainly wasn’t worth the money. We paid more than 6000 SEK for two nights. Yes the room was big and we had a private bathroom (some rooms comes with shared bathroom). But the bathroom was filthy, I doubt the shower has been cleaned this year and the were long blond hairs everywhere (we both have dark hair). 
The breakfast was good, perhaps a little simple and the breakfast room was a bit small and tight when it got busy. 
We will be visiting Fjellbäcka again but we won’t stay at Villa Evalotta.

Not worth the money

Villa Evalotta is located two minutes walk from the bus stop and two minutes walk from the buzy wharf. Onsite parking avaliable. There are two villas; Villa Evalotta and Villa Prastgarden next to it. The rooms are very spartan but beds comfy. They all have shared bath with shampo and conditioner in the shower (but no soap/showergel). If you are a light sleper the other quests going to the bathroom at night, might  wake you up… A kitchen is avaliable if you want to prepare some meals yourself, a nice breakfast is at an extra cost. The only reason I do not give Villa Evalotta a higher score, is the price. I find it to expensive standard considered…

Nice but to expensive

On the webb page they claim to be a boutique hôtel and for a double room price of 2890kr/night ( more expensive than Strandflickorna in Lysekil and Smögen Havsbad) it is  a ripoff. This is a hostel. The view is magnificent but the rooms has a poor standard. Old beds, bathroom not clean and lowbudget renovated. Lamp by bed didn’t work. No reception, no nice interior, the breakfast you have to do yourself from the fridge and it was also low budget and such a disappointment. Very simple, boring bread, no musli only oat and corn flakes. With the location and view this could be a nice place, but we felt completely scammed by the price and false description on the webb. There is no spa, it is in a saloon downtown.

Eva-Lottas i Fjällbacka. It’s a scam

It is important to place one thing that is not written anywhere: there is not one but two villas Evalotta on the door when you leave. One with a view of the sea. One with a view of the church (and Parking). When you book, it is the lottery and it is your vacation you play. But it does not stop there. Indeed the reception (and staff) is nonexistent. You find yourself having to deal with your room when you arrive. You leave the key on the door when you leave. One has to deal with its interest and its cost as well.

Very nice location, nice well furnished house, microscopic triple room under the roofs (happy but she doesn't have a heater). Sea view through a window as small as the double-slope room. Common WC shower with other tiny rooms, floor shower flow.. at the foot of the toilet basin! Lunch is included but in fact it has to be done by peeking in the fridge. Not a big problem except when all the triggers come down at the same time. There is room for 8 when 20 people want to have lunch. 1 grill of bread, a cafe, one or two long pools for eggs is insufficient.

Nice house badly kept

We stayed in several hotels over a 2 week period, and this was our second favorite.   We didn't have high expectations, since it was so reasonably priced.   The decorations were a bit old school.   But the room was spacious and clean.  We especially LOVED the view from our room!   It totally exceeded our expectations.   We enjoyed many sunsets sitting on the balcony or looking out our room.   The town wasn't really open yet, so meals were almost impossible in June.   But we learned to travel to other fishing villages and eat in various locations and return in the evening.   Parking was easy.   We never saw any of the owners or employees.   But we had a great experience here.   It's worth the extra to stay on the 2nd floor with a private bathroom and a big view of the water!

Amazing view and comfortable room

Beautiful cozy house with cute design. The rooms are very comfortable with beautiful sea view. For breakfast all food and drinks you need is provided, you prepare it yourself like at home :) Evalotta is a very kind lady with a beautiful heart, helping you with anything you need. She has a hair and make up salon in the lowest floor so you can also have your hair done at the same time :) Definitely a wonderful place to stay in a very cute village by the sea. Go downstairs by the sea to try the shrimp sandwiches in the restaurants around with a good glass of white wine!

Amazing! Felt like at homr

Booked it absolutely last minute after pulling up to the shore with our kayaks needing a comfy bed and hot shower for the night and we were glad we picked this place. 
Perfect location, very friendly host. 
Super clean room and communal areas, very comfy bed and great views from the windows. Could not ask for more.

Beautiful

We stayed here for two nights in a family room with our own bathroom. The room was nicely furnished, the beds were quite comfortable. The bathroom was simple, but fine. The prescribed long night's rest until 9:00 a.m. was a bit difficult. In a very bright house with a young child, a small challenge. Our room was right at the front door and so we listened to the neighbors for a long time in the evening. The location is really fantastic, a cat's meow away from the harbour. Fjällbacka is a great stopover in Sweden and a good choice during the accommodation.

Nice accommodation in a dreamlike location

We went on a trip to Oslo to watch a ballet in the Opera. Fjällbacka was a very fine little village to stay over. Villa Evalotta is a nice, cheap and clean place to sleep in. We had a room with wiev over the harbour and ocean. Beautiful place
