The beach is located across the road. The beach is fenced off the ocean by a coral reef, where excursions are brought from all over the island. There is a walking bus station, from which you can go in any direction. There is also a Sunday market nearby, where you can buy fruit. There is a harbor nearby, where a fish market will sell you and, for a small fee, prepare you a sea of products. There is a railway station nearby. The hotel without excursions, a small number of rooms, was taken with breakfast. Breakfast is delicious, the owner herself prepares.

We came here without much hope of comfort, because the tour was cheap and the reviews about this hotel were mixed. But when we were brought in and settled in a room on the third floor, with air conditioning, ceiling fan, refrigerator, big bed, we were thrilled and decided not to move to another hotel. The bed was clean, the mattress was good, the towels were changed on request. On the floor there is a common kitchen and a terrace with a bare table. The owners of the guest house are calm and pleasant people.

Suddenly good!

We were staying in this hotel in pairs with a 5-year-old child. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a fan, air conditioner, bed nets, refrigerator, warm water. There were no insects. You can also go faster, but there are boats, so it's better to walk 2 minutes to the side. As the Russians who already lived here said, the breakfasts are always the same. We took a snack without them - all the cafes with good breakfasts were 250-300 rubles, but there was a different filling to order. There were no insects. After a few mosquitoes it rained only on the street, but there was no one. 😁 The buses were always on the street until the end of the day. Buses were always on the street until about 2 o'clock.

Great rest with the baby.

They didnt have the aircondition room orded. Got a dark room with only one light, and the train tracks 10m away.Nice and helpful people,

Nice but noisy

Our bedroom window at first glance looks much more decent than it actually is - old, lost, mirrored on the wall is spoiled by a layer of mirror.The walls of the room are white, on all the traces of former guests. At every corner hangs a web. The window of the room at first glance looks much more horrifying than it actually is. There's no shower in the shower, there's a separate shower with cold water and a separate shower with a single bathroom in front of the heater.

Not suitable for comfortable living

Although I'm a budget traveler in terms of hotel rooms, but this is just a shock!!!. From the airport to Colombo it was about 3 hours. The hotel is in the center of Hickaduva, next to the train station and the bus station. 5 minutes walk. The hotel owners were very welcoming. They took me to room No. 10 which is on the 3rd floor by the terrace overlooking the ocean, but this was just a shock, because there were the front hotels. In the room there was even a small window, a paid condo and a paid refrigerator.

I'm just in the mood!!

As a tourist visitor to Sri Lanka, I need to stay comfortably in a friendly atmosphere to spend my stay at Hikkaduwa .
YKD was the correct selection. They provide hot delicious mouth-watering meals with the variety of salads 

Calm and comfortable atmosphere

The rooms are clean, that's the only plus, all the rest of the horror, the location between the road and the driveway, the hotel's attitude, the kitchen is paid, the normal room as in the photo you get for an extra fee.

We didn 't like it.

Me i my wife spent a night in this apartment. This apartment situated very close in Hikkaduwa town and very ez for go to the beach just have to cross the galle road.  Atmosphere of the room is very luxurious. I love that rooms

Good place 

Clean hotel on the Main Street of Hikkaduwa, the room was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. Perfectly suited our needs of beach and shopping.
