After a long walk today on the camino it was a pleasure to stay here 
The hoist with her son was so nice they made us a fabulous meal  and made us so at home  this is there home and we feel lucky  to have stayed here and receive the sprite of the camino

A little gem at the end of a long walk 
Ok it's not a 4 star hotel, but it reminds me of going to my grandmothers house.
Everything nice and clean the rooms are a good size.
Has a terrace you can sit on in the afternoon to soak up the sun.
Breakfast was basic but bread was fresh and jam was good.
I went for evening meal about 400 m away

Day 2 on the Camino.  The Pension is right up the other end of town, and so a bit hard to find.  From the outside it looks more like a cafe.  No English is spoken

I didn't quite figure the family structure.  The owner's mother (I think) is a delightful middle aged Spanish woman, who, even with limiter language capability on our part, couldn't enough for us.  I inadvertently offended/embarrassed her son (the owner?) at breakfast the next morning and got a stern yelling at in Spanish for my troubles.  The best I could do in response was a shrug and a "lo siento".

It was early in our travels, and as we moved further we got more accustomed to the Spanish way.  With the benefit of hindsight I'd be happy to recommend the pension.

After a long day on the Camino we pulled into Larrasoana - a one street town. Casa Sangalo was the only "non-hotel ' we stayed in during our 9 days and it was great. The place was clean and accommodating and we signed up for dinner that included a huge salad and steak and wine. We had 2 of the 3 upstairs bedrooms with a large shared bath and it worked out fine. We had a bottle of wine on the back patio before dinner and it was delightful. Breakfast was hearty and we were able to eat early and get back on the road.On a side note - We wanted to have a drink before dinner and there is one restaurant/bar in town and all of the outside tables were full. We went down to the "grocery"  that had great music playing, good outside seating and great wine for sale. It was a win win.

My friend and I spend one night here on our camino.  This is a family home.  Our room was clean and comfortable.  The backyard garden is lovely.  The family was friendly and helpful. A French family stayed there at the same time and we enjoyed their company at dinner and breakfast.
