We start with the fact that it is difficult to find a place and bad communication with the people in charge who do not speak English. Some person who has to hand over the keys and show us where we will be accommodated was under the influence of alcohol and did not speak English at all. We arrived on time by 18.00 but that person was not there. When we met him, he said that we were late and we would have to pay 20 euros for it.

An unpleasant experience

Our experience in these apartments has been a bit of a disaster, it is very obsolete in the first place is inhuman not to have air conditioning or a ceiling fan and to conform people with mini-ventilators I repeat mini-ventilators with the heat they are making, then a handful of paint would not sell anything bad, the owner would tell him to empathize that the people who spend our time and money on vacation, that he would like to be GUSTICE, not in a pizzle left in the hands of God with an uninhabited terrace with a lot of herbs that looked like a rainforest, we ate pickles.

If there was a score lower than terrible this place gets it. No reception, just locked iron gates, there was an intercom button that didnt work and no other visible entrance. We were later told that you have to check in at different hotel a 10 minute drive away? As there was no reception at Playa Golf. AVOID,AVOID,AVOID.

Truly awful

This is a residential place where families live and we cannot support people going on vacation, especially if they are noisy and have no respect for people who work.

The dirtiest and most unpleasant apartment in history, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy, dirt, rust, cockroaches, the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.

No repetition or free, dirty and disgusting.

Apartment wasn’t too bad for the price. We booked via Love Holiday, who didn’t tell us that we needed to firstly go to a separate building a few miles away to collect our keys, which we didn’t realise until we went to the address and found nowhere to check in. Luckily we had a nice taxi driver who helped us out! 

A few cons about the apartment were that it didn’t have a hair dryer as stated, we never found the pool but assumed it was closed since it’s out of season, and the lack of Wi-Fi wouldn’t have been an issue except we didn’t have much signal in the apartment.

Would have been ok but check in was a nightmare

This property is ideal if you have a car rental. It is situated 26 minute walk from the train station at Torremuelle.  It is in a very hilly area, and is approximately 20 -30 minutes walk to any sort of entertainment.  The buses run regularly from across the road, or at the bottom of the hill.  It is situated in a residential complex. Our apartment was on a corner, with a view of the recycling bins out one window and the busy road out the other. Single glazed windows don’t keep much noise out. On the plus side to that, the evenings are very quiet and you get a very peaceful nights sleep.  The apartment itself is clean, and has everything to make for a comfortable stay.  It has kettle, cooker, washing machine, all cooking utensils, and a large larder fridge freezer. Iron iron board and hairdryer.  No air con, but in the wardrobe there is a fan and a heater.  The tv is small, maybe 20 inches.  We were Sunday to Sunday, on arrival at the hotel we had a telephone number to call to arrange pick up of keys for the apartment.   A lady arrived approximately 10 minutes after phoning.  This process was simple enough, a bit inconvenient and wasn’t advised on the information about the holiday itself prior to booking.    She took us to the apartment.   Beware of a hidden extra, we were very surprised to be asked to pay an extra €20 charge for checkout on a Sunday as there is no reception.  We were an early flight , leaving apartment around 8am......so not a late checkout. However she wasn’t leaving until we paid up. The girl who gave us the keys and showed us the apartment advised it’s because there is no reception and to leave keys in the apartment when we leave. There is no leeway on this.  Unable to access pool, it’s behind closed gates on the complex. The description on the holiday website advertises a pool, but it was closed.   Where our apartment is situated, there is no seating areas, and the apartment itself has no balcony.  It didn’t have the holiday feeling.  I really want to say something nice about this ‘holiday apartment ‘ but for me it doesn’t have any ‘holiday’ aspects about it, it is far from the main resort. i would not recommend this complex for those who aren’t able to walk any distance, it is up a hill and has many stairs.  There is a restaurant and bar on the complex.  It would be nice if it was your home, and had access to a car to get around.  Next time will definitely be going into the resort to stay. Too far out.

Far from the main resortts, nothing to do, and nowhere to relax on the premises

I spent my holidays there all August and frankly it was a lot of fun to meet Spanish, English, German, Moroccan, Algerian people who came to spend their holidays.

I would not recommend anybody to stay here. Upon arrival, no one spoke English and there was no reception. The tax driver had to drive us another 10 minutes from the hotel to a office where we go the key- we only got one set of keys at that although there was five of us, we didn't even get a spare set. Which after a few days we locked the keys inside by accident and we didn't have a contact number, there was no reception and so no way of knowing what to do. I had to ask a woman that walked passed and luckily she spoke English, she ran mg a number and said that it would cost and we had to wait 15 minutes. 30+ minutes later, a man arrived, didn't speak a word of English but he opened the door with a piece of CARDBOARD. That would tell you how easy it would be to break into! We then went inside and he was writing down figures and the subtotal added to €168 to open the door with a piece of CARDBOARD. We try to say 'no' and that we wouldn't pay and that he was robbing us but he only understood 'no' and he threatened to kick us out using motions with his hands and speaking Spanish, of which none of us understood. We HAD to pay him and this completely ruined our holiday. Most of the people around this area were very ignorant. The only good thing about playa golf was there was a swimming pool but there was a restricted time for when it opens and closes. The Playa Golf was more of a family housing area as it felt like we were the only people staying there that were on holiday. It was also a 30 minute walk from the strip or a short bus ride, so you could get a better place to stay that is closer to the strip and is better quality. In conclusion, I would not recommend Playa Golf to anybody. There were no cleaners so we had the same towels and bedsheets the entire time. It was also far way from shops. I would give Playa Golf two stars. 

Disastrous- absolutely awful! 

It's a huge structure that takes up almost an entire block of Benalmadena. The swimming pool, about in the middle of this kind of apartment village, is exactly the one in the picture. It's frequented a lot by some families even with small children, especially from the surrounding area, foreigners I've found much less than elsewhere. The problems that penalize it are three. Check-in, without getting very well informed before leaving and without knowing a little English or Spanish and writing a few emails and making a few favorites before leaving and arriving, is practically feasible.
