The lodge needs to long term invest in a generator or solar panels for loadshedding.
Holders in bathroom eg. body wash needs to be refilled before guest check in. 
I would suggest a complimentary bottle of still water is provided as standard. Tap water is undrinkable.

The only real concern was that I could not arrange the evening before a breakfast pack as I would have liked to have breakfast earlier at your venue which was not possible. I needed to be on site at 7h30 so I could start my certification audit for BMS be on site at 8h00. 
On the positive side good service from the guy at reception.

Overnight stay

Service was ok, staff not very helpful 
Room was terrible and had a bad smell to it. Smell was so bad I left. Tiles in the bathroom was missing and didn’t look clean. The gate to the parking didn’t open and close properly

Bad experience

Booked two business travel nights to this establishment and I arrived at 19:00 on a Sunday.  Therefore the keys and check-in was conducted by an after-hours caretaker (he was friendly and helpful, despite load shedding). I then made a request for a breakfast pack as I was travelling before breakfast is served. The catering Manager does not understand what a breakfast pack is... She calls it breakfast takeaway. This was 2 bacon and egg sandwiches, without a water/juice, a little yoghurt or even a fruit.

When I tried to discuss with her - she snapped and screamed at me in front of other patrons telling me I did not know what I wanted nor did not explain my full needs. I was very clear but she just did not care and had a very bad unprofessional attitude and the worst customer service. At least the room was clean and comfortable, thus the 2 rating compromised by her.

The Worst Catering & Kitchen Supervisor

The room was dingy, not at all like the site's photos. There wasn't even a shower or hand shower head in the attached bathroom. I went back to reception, asked for a room with a shower and was told there were no other rooms available. There may have been more acceptable rooms in the establishment, but I will never know. I wasn't offered the option of one. A complete waste of R1000...

So disgusted that I handed the keys back and walked out immediately after checking in and seeing the room..

I had a great experience in the lodge, the services were excellent and we were welcome with warm hands. The break fast well served at the correct time and it was what I was expecting. The rooms were clean and excellent.

FIRST EXPERIENCE AT LAINGS LODGE

I was impressed as it seemed like I was in a big city somewhere. I slept like a baby and could help myself as everything I needed was available. It was cold but extra blankets were available. The room was neat and with the security gate there I felt safe.

Very smart for a small Karoo town

I was travelling on business on the 25 July 2023. I was travelling in the Central Karoo District. I stopped at Laings Lodge in Laingsburg. The lodge was exceptionally well. The staff, the rooms was indeed excellent. If someone is travelling to to the Karoo, I would recommend for them to stay at Laings Lodge.

Excellent Stay

I was there for a couple of days and I enjoyed my stay, my room was clean and tidy. I had hot water with a shower and my little kitchen to warm your takeaways and you can make a cup of coffee or a cup of tea. while doing that you can connect to the wifi to check your emails, make whats app calls, or watch your favorite channels on DStv. my only downfall is that the bed and pillow were uncomfortably hard which kept me tossing and turning but maybe it's because I am only used to my bed at home.

Not too bad and not too good

It was just to stay at the lodge. Every thing was spot on. The rooms was very neath and clean. It was was a pleasure for me to go back the second time. I will be back at Laingslodge next Monday and recommend this place for sure
