Absolutely toved the authenticiy of Blue cow barn. Such a pitty we could stay overnight whilst on our journey back to Cape Town. We also heard from the town folk in Barrydale that the breakfast cafe that you have is also a MUST, but sadly also no time to have exprienced that. Just more things to look forward to for next time. Absolutely delightful accommodation. We enjoyed our stay and regret that we could not stay longer. A very quiet location  and yet in close proximity (walking distance) to Barrydale`s main street and of course to Diesel&Cream which is worth multiple visits.

Easy self-check-in process. After having settled in, Bertus came to welcome us and shared some insights on the farm, which we found very interesting. Plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen for self-catering. The veranda is great and invited to sit outside, enjoying a good class of ZA wine.

Loved our stay. Cottage is comfy and kitted out with everything you need. We had a lovely indoor braai. Really worth going and we will be back.. 

We had a lovely stay at Blue Cow. Bertus and his mom were super helpful and friendly. Our rooms were very comfortable with great art and everything one could need. We at at the Blue Cow Cafe and my daughter was over the moon with the waffles and ice cream. 

The Blue Cow Barn was been an amazing experience, everything is neat and clean , the view is stunning from the cottage. We would recommend this to anyone who wants to are seeking for a relaxed vacation!

We loved our stay at this gem in Barrydale. It was quiet, peaceful and the unit was very well equipped with all that we needed. Hannette, the farm owner, was very kind and welcoming and gave me a tour and history of the farm which was very interesting. We will definitely be back.

It was a super stay. Close enough to town but far enough out. Clean. Warm. Well stocked kitchenette. Next time we’ll get into the hot tub. Easy walk to the food place with a great breakfast and fresh lunches. 

Booking was easy. Engagement before our stay was excellent. Service during our stay was just as good. Very responsive on WhatsApp. A welcoming and friendly team. Cottage was beautiful. Food is incredible.
Thanks to everyone at the Blue Cow for making our stay a good one.

everything we needed to overcome the load shedding crisis - candles/battery operated lights and even a generator was put on for us in the morning to make coffee.  She went the extra mile

Upon arrival, we were greeted by our friendly host, Bertus, who provided us with all the information and help we needed. From the time we booked at Blue Cow Boutique Farm, until we left, Bertus was always only a phone call away. Our accommodation was super clean and we had a lovely stay on this beautiful farm, with excellent views.

Charming and comfortable accommodation in rustic setting with all the modern conveniences. Will definitely stay there again.

Lovely stay with great hospitality.

We were on the last night of a Karoo exploration and we stayed in Betsie, a lovely self catering cottage. It was perfect, a real farm stay with great hospitality and 2 dogs and a cat visitors. Lots to do in Barrydale which has retained it's unique small town feel.
