For our second Time in Alphonse Island we found  again the paradise.
Staf,food and organisation are always perfect.
Very good fishing for 6 days.The guides who do thé maximum for us,so big GTs for together and successful casts.
We have booked for next year.

Alphonse paradise

When my husband booked our holiday to Alphonse Island, I was a little concerned that I would be bored and lonely as he was intending to do as much fishing as he could and I am not bothered about fishing.  I couldn’t have been more wrong!  From amazing guided snorkel trips, to seeing dolphins, swimming with a manta, looking for sail fish, a guided cycling trip followed by a delicious smoothie in the beautiful vegetable gardens, chilling by the beautiful pool and of course enjoying the amazing flats lunch on a sand bar in the middle of paradise- there was literally something for me to do every day alongside other like minded non-fishing people.  There was also a lot more on offer which I didn’t manage to do.  Evenings were just heaven.  Informative talks by the staff, cocktails at the bar chatting with other guests about their day, dining on the beach under the stars (never seen so many stars!) and top quality food every night.  I cannot recommend this place enough - it was interesting to see that several of the guests I talked to had been before.  I think we will be one of those repeating guests in the future as we truly can’t wait to go back.  Thanks to all the wonderful staff both in-house and in the diving/activites centre for making me feel so welcome and doing such an excellent job.  I’m not naming anyone in particular as truly everyone works so hard to make you have the best holiday experience ever. Top class all round!

Alphonse Island - a very special place

My husband and I spent 10 days on Alphonse island last March and loved it so much we have just returned from another magical stay in the Alphonse Island Lodge. The staff and the ambience are unparalleled, the food is so delicious and I’m a vegetarian so my needs are well catered for. The expansion of the sensational vegetable garden is amazing and the chefs prepare scrummy dishes. The diving visibility, different fish species and coral life is exceptional. I spent my days walking and cycling and discovering every nook and cranny on the island. Relaxing evenings having dinner under the stars with our feet in the sand was one of the many highlights. We will be back a third time …. It’s just a matter is when 🏝️

Alphonse Island Paradise

My wife and I stayed on the island for a week and had an incredible time. The staff welcome and general hospitality from everyone throughout the stay was outstanding. Everyone was clearly passionate about working on the island and wanted us to have the very best time. Pretty much everything was excellent or better than excellent, the food was brilliant, the social activities were great fun and well organised, and the various other island activities were well managed too. 

The fishing more than met the highest expectations with the fishing leader and his team of guides offering an extremely professional fly fishing experience on nearby St Francois.  

Yes, the drinks bill did add up a bit but when you consider where you are, who you are with, and what you are doing it all becomes very worthwhile.  My wife joined me for a half day fishing and caught 3 bones before the flats lunch.  She was otherwise kept busy with amazing snorkelling, swimming with turtles and manta rays and a bunch of other fun things with the other non-fishing guests. A very special place that will be hard to match anywhere else.  Well done and thank you everyone at Blue Safari for a lovely time!

Perfection in the Indian Ocean

Absolutely incredible experience! My husband and I came here on our Honeymoon could not believe how beautiful everything was. The staff at Blue Safari was so kind, hospitable, and paid such great attention to detail. The main lodge and rooms were so clean and beautifully decorated, and the food was impeccable. My husband and I had the very best time going fishing, snorkeling, swimming and just admiring all of the life on the island. So many things to do and such a wonderful holiday, we wished we could stay a whole month!

Heaven

We came to Alphonse for a week - we stayed two weeks, and we will come back for more. That says it all.

Alphonse is a beautiful and usual island, once a a coconut plantation, now bursting with beauty. If you are into photography, the light in the forest is unique. If you snorkel or dive, there is lots to explore. If you like good food, for us this was the freshest and best we found anywhere in the Seychelles, and changing on a daily basis unlike many other places. 

If you want solitude, read a book, walk or cycle in the forest - this is the place, look no further (though it is pretty far from everywhere anyway). Enjoy a good sundowner, swim at high or low tide, but watch out to not step on one of the many turtles. Snorkel with mantas. If you are bored here for a second, do not ever leave the city life that you are probably used to. 

The staff was great. Beyond words. Be it the kitchen staff, bar, boat, reception staff, they all did an amazing job, way beyond what we experiences anywhere in such a remote place. The activities are plenty on and in the water and on the island.

We also live in Africa, and this island was a treat for us as there is nothing worrying there. No snakes, no dangerous spiders when you walk through the forest or bush, no nothing. Zip. Not even mosquitos spoil your night, when you sleep without a net and doors and windows open (To be fair, there are some in the forest but they are not even a bother either). 

As occupancy was low, we got lucky to get an upgrade from beach villa to the exclusive retreat. The villa was superior, but we also looked at some other rooms that all seemed great. We'd come back to any of those (just note there are a few units that have a rocky shoreline rather than a sandy beach near the so called Point Dot, but you could probably ask about it, and the even rocky shoreline has a particular beauty).

We have been to a number of island resorts where there is only one place per island - this was one of the best. Harmonizing the natural environment and the guests needs was done so well. We will be back for sure.

Probably the most beautiful island, best service, food and experience in the Seychelles.

I travelled a lot and have stayed in many nice places over the years but the service and hospitality we received at Alphonse was in a different league.  Everything worked like a Swiss watch.  From the moment we stepped off the plane in Mahe everything was slick and professional.  There were absolutely zero hick-ups. 5 Star accommodation & facilities, 5 Star service, 5 Star food, all my expectations were exceeded. The fly fishing was insane, this was definitely my best week of 2022.

Best week of the year

Alphonse Island is a truly unique vacation experience - a remote atoll in the Indian Ocean, surrounded by a reef truly teaming with life; turtles, rays, and fish. The snorkeling and SCUBA are wonderful and the fishing is awesome. The staff are accommodating of your every request and the food is excellent. We highly recommend the resort - we've been three times and can't wait to return next year!

We never want to leave!

A  return visit after Covid and can truly say, it is still an exceptional place. Stunning marine and wildlife. I was in travel for 26yrs and can say that the attention to detail and service is the best. This isn't your average holiday. For Fishing, divers, snorkeling, bird watchers the activities available  are a dream.  Full board with a great selection of dishes. If there isn't anything to suit, the chef is more than happy to tailor. What we like, is that this resort is of a boutique nature. The team want you to have a fab time.  We just don't wantt everyone to find it!

A dream

My husband, myself and our 2 and 3 year old children were lucky enough to experience a 2 week stay on Alphonse Island in October 2022.

The unmatched beauty of the island is evident as soon as you set foot off the plane, and you really feel like you've stumbled across something quite magical... and that feeling does not leave you for the entire stay. 
Picture perfect, white sand beaches, giant tortoises, teeming marine life and crystal clear water. It does not, and will not get any better than Alphonse Island Resort.

The staff were incredible. They managed to capture that magical sweet spot between showing the utmost professionalism while making you feel like you were part of their family. With 2 small children, the staff always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and were always ready with a quick joke to distract the kids while we finished our meals. Small generosities such as this elevated our stay above and beyond any other resort we've stayed at.

An absolute highlight of the stay was definitely the food. The culinary experience was just that, an experience. The menu was clever, delicious and oozing with sustainable integrity. 
It would be very easy for a place like this to rely on a simple menu and focus on the other highlights the resort has to offer, however it is very evident that there has been a large focus on designing the menu around the consumer experience. The menu showcases incredible produce grown right in the resort's own vegetable garden, and the menu is sophisticated enough to cater for a range of dietary requirements, without sacrificing flavour. Elegant, un-pretentious, world-class food. 

The accommodation is second to none. We stayed one week in the incredible villa and one week in the beautiful bungalow. 
The villa offers uncomparable luxury. Not only was it beautifully designed and furnished, it comes with a pool and private golf cart to enjoy the island with as well 
as a large variety of delicious house made snacks. If you are looking for something extra special for your stay, the Villa is it. 
The bungalow was located just off a gorgeous part of the beach, and offers a sunken bath and outdoor shower. Just Heaven.

There is a real integrity and environmental leadership shown by the resort by the obvious extensive efforts to partner in the great conservation efforts happening on the island. This is particularly evident when you part-take in any water-based activity, with the abundance of marine life. We went out for a day fly-fishing with 2 guides. The guides seamlessly navigated the skill difference of my experienced husband, me as a beginner and 2 children just wanting to have turn at reeling in a fish. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and helped us catch a huge number of bone fish. An amazing experience for the whole family. Although all of the water based activites were amazing, the flats lunch and the day trip to Bijoutier Island were very some of the best days we've ever spent on the water.

It takes a special kind of management to keep all of these elements at the cutting edge of the hospitality experience. The nod to the environmental and sustainable practices, the effort in actively seeking consumer feedback and being dynamic enough to act on this and the constant wanting to improve and evolve has not gone unnoticed.
