I stayed here for 1 week with my boyfriend and love it here! It is good location, walking distance to metro and train station. When we first arrived, the staff gave us a nice tour around the hotel, and we received a complimentary sparkling wine which we enjoyed. The place is nicely decorated with art and artifacts related to the house of Romanov. The bed was comfortable and spacious, and the showers were nice. We had satisfying breakfast every morning and there's complimentary tea/cookies at the dining room throughout the day. We had a good time using their dry sauna as well. The staff were helpful with giving us advices and our needs throughout our stay.

Description of the guest house

Location

Dom Romanovyih Guest House is located in St. Petersburg. The guest house occupies a separate outbuilding of a mansion built in 1860 by the architect Ziegler von Schafhausen, which is located in the square of Nevsky Prospekt. The Yantarny concert hall regularly hosts tours, quizzes, and evening programs dedicated to the theme of the Romanov dynasty. Feodorovsky Cathedral is also located nearby.

At the guest house

Guests can enjoy a continental breakfast and evening tea. The hotel also has a small gym, sauna, washing machine, children's room, business center, luggage storage, pool table, video library, chapel, museum and library.

Bicycles are available for free. There is a small car park, a place must be booked in advance.

    What was good

    Excellent decor, aesthetics of hotel which is 10 to 15mins walk from Ploshad Vosstaniya metro station and Moscow railway and start of the famous Nevsky prospect.Breakfast and evening tea are really good.

    What was bad

    There are no elevators which might be a problem for the elderly and weak. Heating in the room was not adequate.
