It's located in a neighbourhood of houses and at night you can hear dogs barking which reminded me of my summer vacations at my grandma's in the countryside. I arrived after 11:30pm and the front door was locked, but the receptionist  came to open it. The rooms was very large and the bed big as well. I slept gret, that's what I can say. The bathroom has a bathtub that does the job. The breakfast was 20 lei but they just asked me what I wanted as supposedly thay day they weren't able to do the standard buffet. I asked for an omelette with chesse and tomatoes + a cup of tea + bread.
Don't really recommend it if better options are in your budget, but it's safe, that's for sure.

not bad, but would never be my first choice

Hotel Marija is a three star hotel that was probably a good hotel  long time ago but now it needs to be completely refurbished. The staff is very kind and speak English. As for the breakfast, every morning breakfast is the same, and after the fourth day you don't even want to go because you know what's waiting for you. As for the cleanliness they should do they job much better because the carpets were not basically vacuumed quite some time and in the room I found a cockroach. The price is affordable. The hotel is located near the city center.

An average hotel

I've been here more than 6 times over the last 10 years, the place was the same: quiet in the neighbourhood, relatively easy access by car and a quite large room. But... The furniture leave an aspect of not enough cleanliness, old, deteriorated, in need for a major renovation. No was breakfast available that morning.
The team is almoust friendly and helpful.
It is a minimum confort but not a business place, more a transit destination.

10 years ago was the same

The floor in the room was very dirty, the furniture is very old and cracked, the pillow that covers the bed was unripped, torn and full of lints. They didn't use vacuum cleaner on carpets at all and was so much dirty on them that I didn't want to walk on them without shoes. That was a noise coming from electrical panel which was loud and I couldn't sleep until I unplugged the room card from it's socket (there was no electricity after that). The sheets was clean, the room was big. Breakfast is acceptable.
