132 reviewsLa Casa Fitzcarraldo ist a place of peace and joy in Iquitos. Iquitos itself is loud and dirty. Entering the hotel is a pleasure. Around the nice pool it is super green. There are big trees, palm trees, blossoming bushes, birds singing, ... you feel like getting a glimpse how paradise could be. Even the noise from the street ist almost gone. The food in the restaurant ist fresh and tasty, staff is super friendly, the rooms offer lots of space and a solid interrieur. The bathroom is very clean. The hotel breaths history of famous film Shootings. I'd say if you were in Iquitos and did not visit Casa Fitzcarraldo you haven't been in Iquitos ;) Oh, and of you have the chance to meet the owner Walter Saxer in the evening for a glas of wine, some fascinating stories and philosophical conversation, don't miss that chance!!!
