We loved staying in Tambo Viejo, due to illness of my son we had to extend our stay in Arequipa, and we were just so lucky to be in Tambo Viejo. Julieta, the owner was the most helpful and understanding host one could wish for. We ended up celebrating Christmas there and it turned out to be both a great as well as a memorable experience! Arriving at Arequipa we were caught by heavy traffic and entering Tambo Viejo with its beautiful and tranquil garden is like stepping into an oasis of quiet and calm, just what we needed. The room was large and clean, good beds, large towels. And the everything was cleaned daily. From the hostel we found everything in the city within walking distance
