We stayed for the 2nd time. Last stay was in Jan 18, which was really nice. We were then on Level 5 for our first stay, very quiet, nice room and stunning view! This trip (April 18), we were on Level 10. The building steps down the hill, so Level 10 is at road height. It was SO noisy! We had a very unpleasant stay with road noise keeping us awake most of the night! 
We’d stay again, but must be a lower level!

Very nice, but.........

We found it confusing with the check in at different areas. 

On my best friends wedding day we accidentally locked all of the hotel room keys inside the room. We were staying at another local hotel who basically said too bad so sad nothing I can do. The brides engagement ring, and the whole bridal parties personal belongings were inside the room. I Called up luxury lakes suites, they immediately sent someone over (who arrived before he said he would with the given the time frame) to unlock the room for us and save the day! The bride made it to the wedding on time! 

Check in is confusing and frustrating but great service 

This place was amazing. We had some great views right on our balcony of the river and were very close to the city centre. Views and accommodation great. Bathrooms and bedrooms were very impressive- room service could use a bit of improvement. We broke a glass and had nothing to clear it with so informed staff who said it would be sorted when they tidied the room. They literally tidied everything around it and left the glass! Don't let that put you off as it was minor compared to the benefit of everything else this place has to offer!

Amazing views and accommodation

We had 2 nights in a 5th floor apartment at the Oaks Resort. The view is absolute WOW factor as you enter. The apartment, a 2 bedroom, was very spacious i
and is well furnished and appointed. There is enormous deck overlooking the lake. The main bedroom and the living room overlook the lake. 

Key collection is some 4kms from this particular property, I suspect all of their properties are here but  would be wrong. The managing agent is in the Marine Apartments which is poorly signposted and in the Mantra office. I found our reception less than warm and courteous once we actually found said office.

The apartment is not airconditioned. The bi-fold doors onto the verandah are corroded and difficult to open. The bi-fold doors from the main bedroom are screwed shut so with only one door able to be opened to a small gap. The ensuite bathroom is small for an apt of this size. The shower unit is badly positioned and difficult to operate. The second bedroom is entirely windowless and airless, small and very dark. The ensuite is miniscule.

I provided feedback to the General Manager who was coolly polite in response.

Overall, I think this property poor value for the cost.

Good view But ...

These apartments are located at the Oaks Shores but managed by the Mantra Marina, which is about a 5-7 minute drive away from their reception depending on traffic. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 10th floor for 2 nights. The views were magnificent but the apartment itself was dirty and run down.  We were met with an awful stench as we walked through the door and it soon became clear why.  The carpet was filthy and didn’t look like it had even been vacuumed after the previous guests.  There were balls of hair and small torn up pieces of paper on the bedroom and living room floor. There were sticky red wine spills still on the balcony floor from previous guests. The bathtub had muddy footprints and needed washing down before we could use it. There were greasy smears all over the walls in the living area and the main bedroom and the kitchen floor was thick with sticky dirt. The kitchen blinds were thick with black grime and even the kettle had a thick layer of grease on it with a sticky residue on the handle.  The furniture is old and tired and needs replacing and there was only one bedside lamp which were not that big a deal in comparison to the dirt, but just added to the negative experience . 
The apartment needs an overhaul.  The bathroom wall had a chunk missing and the bathtub had been patched up with a blob of grey cement.  There was mold around the rim of the hand basin in the main bedroom. 
The internet didn’t work and Mantra reception were aware of this before we checked in but we weren’t told about it until we rang reception after spending almost an hour trying to log in after being given login details.  We were a bit baffled as to why reception didn’t just tell us that the internet wasn’t working when we first arrived. 
We did make a formal complaint to management and expected at the very least they would send someone to clean apartment for us but they didn’t. It remained in the same filthy state until we checked out the following day. The cleaning supervisor just apologized and said they would “look after us, if we came again.” Absolutely appalling – certainly not a place we would stay again.
Great location, fantastic views – could be a real winner with a reno and change of management/cleaning staff.
