This lovely bed and breakfast is located in the most scenic neighbourhood of the ancient town of Lochem. My husband, two of our children and I enjoyed a three-day stay at the Vijverhof in April to undertake a few bicycle tours in the vicinity. Situated next to a pond, it enjoys really beautiful views with geese swimming and a nearby deer park. Ramon, the owner and manager of the hotel, does everything to make one feel at home and offers great advice on local outings. The hotel also rents bicycles. Breakfast is buffet-style and served in a lovely room which leads out to a terrace by the pond. In the evening this same room offers drinks, snacks and board games. I cannot praise this place enough. It was a peaceful haven and we slept like royalty. Highly recommended.
