I only stayed one night - I went to Amsterdam for meetings and a summer meet-up on a canal boat. I had not been to Amsterdam for years, and it was beautiful, v. hot 34C and still light at 10pm. The hotel was perfect - modern, clean, air-conditioned (important on a hot summer night), stylish, everything worked. I had a room on the 5th floor with a canal view. It's in a nice area and walking distance to pretty much everywhere, and good transport links. The reception staff were great - friendly, helpful, and competent - it was busy when I checked in and out and they had time for everyone. I was sorry to leave. Monet Garden Hotel is nicer than it looks from the street (the canal is at the back of the hotel, and my canal view room was quiet and peaceful) I am coming back to Amsterdam prob in September, and I plan to stay here again.
