Hotel Casa Rustica

It is a cute, simple place, Great value for your money and within walking distance of all attractions in Oaxaca (zocalo, museums,...)   The water could be a bit warmer at times, however, it's really a minor detail considering everything the place has to offer.   Also, the people that run the place, Rosita  and Alejandro are absolutely wonderful and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.   Highly recommend this place to the traveller who is looking a a basic room close to all the conveniences Oaxaca has to offer.

A gem of a place

To anybody trying to save money , go somewhere else or take extra precautions in your check out like taking pictures because once you leave they will try to Scam you saying " you broke this , you broke there" and they will be sneaky enough to wait a few days to throw all their BS.
If you know how to deal with snakes go ahead, otherwise avoid.
A few key points for you to re consider:

* Hot water only when you ask for it.
* Their "air conditioner" it's actually a Fan.
* There is no sense of freedom as the door is always closed and you have to wait for someone to open.
* If you have back problems their rock hard beds are not for you.
* If the hotel looks empty they will try to milk you at the end with something.

Scam

They ruined my trip with my husband by accusing us of stealing their hand towels. The manager demanded we open our luggage, it was so humiliating. We proved her wrong, she later posted on our Airbnb that we stole from her and tried to charge us through the app for her items. Such thieves

Scammers

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! YOU ARE WARNED. These people are absolute thieves and will lie and try to claim compensation for a made up issue on check out. They even had my negative and honest review deleted from Airbnb to try to cover up their scam.
