the place is very clean, and also they have lift so for those who carry large luggage dont have to worry

3 things that i find very disturbing is
-very thin bed, maybe cause I'm not familiar with this kind of bed
-small room, which I find a bit smaller than any hostel that I've ever been to
-small bathroom, which also the smallest bathroom I've ever been to during my trip this time, for those who have big build, I think you'll find difficulties moving around in the bathroom

other note, the area is very quiet, very calm, even at night
they also have small kitchen where you can cook, and they also provides drinking water, sink, microwave, and also refrigerator

clean hostel near Hakata station

This was one of my favourite hostels in japan (and I’ve been to a few!).

Location - very good. <10min walk from Hakata Station and within half an hour of a lot of the main sites and downtown. Although it was near a busy road, I didn’t hear much traffic at night.

Beds - SO comfortable. Hands down the most comfortable beds at any hostel so far. They are more ‘capsule’ than actual bunk beds which is great because there’s less creaking when someone moves around. The bed is a bit wider and longer than average. There’s a large shelf inside and also a key-locker. There’s also a plug socket with an additional usb socket (so helpful) and a light.

Room - I stayed in the mixed dorm on the 4th floor. I think there were 10 beds in total. Lots of floor space and (the first time I’ve seen this in japan) a dedicated luggage area in the bedroom. It didn’t feel cramped at all. Also big plus was the temperature of the room - it wasn’t too hot! A lot of places seem to go crazy in the winter and ramp up the heat which is so uncomfortable - not this place. Thank god!

Staff - everyone was so nice and friendly. I chatted with several staff members as I was cooking dinner and they were great. 

Hostel - really well laid out and planned (the only exception is the elevator which, while extremely useful to have, is located at the top of 4 stairs so a bit of lugging around your bag is required!). There is a kitchen and dining area which is well equipped with anything you’d need to use for cooking. There’s also a separate common space with some tatami style seating and counter seating. There’s also an origami station and you can wear a yukata. 

Other - they include breakfast of toast and spreads. Not only that but the breakfast period is for a fairly long time - 8am-11am. Excellent for a lie in!

All in all this was a fantastic hostel and I will totally stay here again if I’m back in Fukuoka. My only niggling criticism is that, once again, being in a mixed dorm is a bit annoying as the men are more noisy than the women and dirtier. A few times there were unflushed toilets (gross!) and someone hadn’t bothered to lift up the seat so had peed on it. Not the hostel’s fault but so annoying!

Brilliant stay

A nice cosy place to return to at the end of every tiring day... good value for money .. the tatami room is really nice and clean, the kitchenette and lounge are also very clean and comfortable. You get to interact with the other guests in the lounge too. 
You can cook your own simple meals in the kitchenette. 
Location is also very convenient, walking to the JR station is safe and easy.. and the great big malls around the area.

traffic noise quite loud in rush hour 
bathrooms very clean 
nice lounge and kitchen with music always playing in the background 
relaxing place  
lots of info at the hostel about things to see and do around the place 
comfortable bed and a well thought out hostel 
towels are for rent as well as adapters and bikes 
wifi is good 
basically i can't think of anything to complain about 
you can even leave your luggage there if you want to wander before your late flight after check out

very good value

We chose this hotel for our three night stay in Fukuoka because of its reasonable price and decent review.  

Here is why I would recommend this hotel....

-Our 11 year old son loved the lounge/hangout area because they had oragami supplies so you can learn how to make oragami while you are there.  He just thought it was a pretty cool space
-Coffee and tea are available all of the time
-They offer a simple breakfast toast and pastries
-Our private room was clean and consisted of a single bed and a bunk bed but did have its own bath
-Excellent value for its location when compared to other lodging options in the area- when we went it was a 1/3 of the price
-Despite having a good number of young adults it was quiet and people were respectful of the rules
-AC unit worked well
-Nicely appointed common kitchen it will have all you need

Here are some things to keep in mind
-There is not a front desk person 24 hours a day so if you are arriving late you will need to make arrangements ahead of time
-The elevator is small and only stairs we found were emergency exit
-Only water available in your room all other food and drinks must be consumed in lounge or kitchen area
-Vending machines are on 4th floor but kitchen on main level

Good Value!

Good price-performance, rooms included a clean and convenient bathroom, handling was easy, located near Hakata Station, well suited for overnight stays, relatively noisy via road and rail WiFi
