What an outstanding B&B!  The location in Galway is great and not far from beaches and right up the road are towns like Bearna.  Bridie, the proprietor, is very accommodating. We arrived from Shannon Airport at 8:00 am, well before our check in time, and Bridie welcomed me and my wife with a full, hot breakfast. She also suggested sights and restaurants as well as secured tickets for a daylong excursion to the Aran Islands. The B&B is clean, comfortable and quiet. If you come to Galway, stay at the Bohola House!

August in Ireland 

We used Bohola as a base for four nights not only for Galway but also Gurteen Bay, Clifden, Sky Road, and Connemara areas. This is one of the best B&Bs we stayed at during our 36-day trip in Ireland.  

The home was beautifully designed and decorated.  I took lots of photos which I have not yet published on my web site.  The breakfast was one of the best cooked in all our B&Bs in Ireland plus it was a pleasure talking with Bridie and the other guests. There was also a common area on the second (bedroom) floor for coffee/tea where we met fellow travellers.

Bohola was a Great Base

This appears to be a very busy B&B with repeat guests. Bridie is friendly and helpful.There is a lovely sitting room, a great little area to make tea or coffee and the breakfast room is very nice. Continental breakfast items, fresh coffee and a cooked to order Irish breakfast to order off a menu. Our room was great, although the bathroom was on the small side. Quiet location with ample parking.

Great location for exploring Connemara

This was our second time back to Bohola House as it’s in a very convenient position, the rooms are lovely and Bridie is very warm and welcoming.  Our five night stay was wonderful.
There’s a lovely dining room, guest loungeroom and tea/coffee making facilities in the foyer upstairs.

Great B & B

Beautiful setting out of town especially while the Galway Races are in progress. Easy bus trip into town with the bus stop a very short walk away. I do recommend getting instructions from your hostess because some of the buses go on alternate routes on the return journey. Plenty of information available about he many attractions in this part of beautiful Ireland.
I agree with other travelers comments about the breakfast, lots of choices and well cooked including various breads. All the rooms are well appointed and I loved the breakfast room so bright and cheery. On the landing there is a communal area for tea, coffee and biscuits.

Nothing but praise for this delightful B&B

The living room was super small, although the pig was comfortable. The lavatory was very small, with very, very fair amenities. The cleaning was very fair as well. The breakfast was right. An old house that needed a little cleaning.The mats on the night tables were paper.

We expected more of this bed&breakfast.

We spent 3 nights at the Bohola B&B and were very excited once again (already the second time there). The house with the rooms is very cozy and you can immediately experience the warm Irish flair. The beds are super comfortable and the bathroom is large enough. The breakfast is just as we wanted. From traditional Irish breakfast to baked beans to fruit with cereal everything was there. The owners (an older couple) are very friendly, friendly and friendly. We also found the free-of-charge room and café where we liked to play games. There is free parking at the building. The city can be reached easily by bus or taxi!

Accommodation in Galway

We stayed here as a group of four girls for two night over the St Patrick’s day weekend and I could not recommend it more. The b&b is located 15 minutes (by taxi) from the city centre (costing about 16 Euro each journey) and was perfect for us. The room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable so we were delighted with this. In addition, the breakfast was great with lots of options, which made it difficult to choose what to eat! Overall a very enjoyable experience and I would stay here again. 

Beautiful room and great location

Very warm welcome. Quiet. A cozy and excellent lunch, especially homemade scones hummm!!!! Located outside Galway on the mythical Connemara road a wonderful and wild place. B&B very well maintained. Ideally, there are only very few rooms and so we are calm. To get to Galway city centre there is a bus, but be careful not to raise your arm when you see the bus arrive, otherwise it will not stop.

Excellent deals and accommodation, excellent breakfasts, with a wide variety of offerings, although it is a little out of Galway for us, it was a great choice, and we were always given good advice and help.
