Great atmosphere, very stylish, helpful staff, usual Indonesian breakfast. Supermarket right next door. Room was a bit smooth, window view of a concrete wall. For the price perfectly fine. The best part: the roof terrace!

Perfect for a stopover.

A great hotel to stay in Manado. Complete with everything that is indicated and the room is as seen in the photos. The bed is comfortable, and it is in the first place that I am given a sofa from above and a cushion (which you will want to use because the air cools the room well). The breakfast is complete with an option of Indonesian food, toast, fruit and coffee or tea. The staff is super friendly and help you with whatever you need. If I return to Manado, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Excellent quality-price ratio.

Quality/price ratio unbeatable! Hot water shower 🙂 Care team, taxi to the airport at 5am, no problem...and not expensive!🙂🙂 No elevator, but a load lift for suitcases 🙂🙂🙂 A very nice large terrace on the 3rd floor for a quiet apero 🙂🙂🙂 Bravo!

Good service

The rooms are clean, clean crisp sheets. Bathroom clean with western toilet, shower head and a small sink.  Rooms have open closets, counter space and desk space.  There is lots of lighting- this place is more modern than other places I have stayed in Indonesia.

The lobby is quirky and fun, but there aren't really common areas for travelers, as it's more of a hotel vibe than a guesthouse.  It's a quiet place.

The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Decent, worth it

I opted for this hotel twice. The first time was because I could dive into the side wall of the Raja Ampat and the cold water was not working! I had to wait until the next day to get to the Bunaken Marine Park. The second time was when I returned from the Lembeh Strait east of the city waiting for a flight the next day to Bunaken. My first night in an upper room was disastrous. The broken shower apple sent the jet to the side wall and the cold water was not working! I almost had to get into a serious traffic jam.

Good place for a night or two.

Super clean, modern hotel with friendly, highly efficient staff, great art on the walls and pleasant rooms with comfortable beds. The only slight letdown is the lack of a passenger lift in this three story building. There is, however, a service lift for bags so this is only really an issue if you have a disability which would make stairs a problem. I believe there are two rooms on the ground floor.
Soft drinks, beer and ice cream are available from a fridge by reception and there is free water on each floor.
The early morning cab they organised for us to the airport was a very reasonable R60,000

Great value and very well run

We stayed twice at the Istanaku in Manado. Very well located hotel, very nice reception and the price ratio is very high. Hot water and comfortable bedding. impeccable cleanliness. Airport shuttle at the right price.

It's a great hotel.

I came to rent a scooter. I was paying in advance and giving copies of my passport and international license (but not my passport that I still keep with me). I rented scooters 10 times all over Indonesia without any worries. And then Evan the receptionist gets angry and runs away. Like I was going to run away with his scooter (with 2 guarantees and payment in advance). Despite my calm explanations, he refuses dialogue and sends me ch*** literally refusing the rent with an aggressive and incomprehensible air. Sulawesi is the only place where I have any worries about welcoming. Java, Flores and Papua were perfect. No. I don't.

Proud and unpleasant reception.

Clean, large rooms and interdecorations are so cool. Friendly staff, good location but yeah, some of the rooms are noicy because of traffic. But still, Istanaku, both 1 and 2, gives you the best value for money in Manado!

Value for money in Manado

The hotel's lobby is a New Age hipster. The breakfast room, however, looks like the GDR, and the breakfast tastes like that. Cold and fad. The rooms are clean, but super bright. It feels like there couldn't have been any walls and it would have had the same effect. The shower-klo-combi, although it needs to be used, is at least somewhat clean.
