I had booked this accommodation relatively spontaneously for my business trip nearby, and I am more than positively surprised! For a great price, you get here not only a comfortable and clean room, but also a greatly good bourgeois food. I especially liked to recommend the crown plate here! This place radiates an incredible tranquility, although it is located in the middle of Openenau. For me it was all more of a short vacation than a business trip!

The hotel is really located in the heart of Oppenau and it's raw; right in the city. The staff is super friendly and the hotel itself is clean. There you can have a healthy, creative and tasty meal with super guaranteed good price management. What I noticed particularly well was that the meat was well brought to the point. The rooms are clean and very quiet for a dreamful sleep. Good to recommend for couples or even single travelers who want to rest and alternate.

Good and quiet hotel with tasty food

Our service was very nice and polite. The salad was a poem and our meat was roasted to the point. The crown plate there is to be recommended to everyone. The inn was right in the city and easy to find. We found it cozy and super set up. The food was at the top price. If we came back to the city, this is our point of contact.

Good civic cuisine

I was a local businessman, and I liked the food very well in terms of price-performance. The meat was fried to the point as I wished, and the salad that followed was a culinary highlight! There's nothing to complain about in the room. It was quiet and comfortable and it was. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Very nice hostel right in Oppenau

We were there in August and we felt very well. The rooms were very clean, staff very friendly and child-loving. Now to the restaurant: we had ordered a family of four people crown plates. I as a man, of course, look at the meat and I have to say, it was perfectly fried. My wife liked the salt very much and the children, well, they loved the steak just as much as I did:)

A great hotel, perfect for the family.

The hotel owner is definitely hard to deal with, he hardly speaks two words of English and is very strict. No credit card was accepted, so we had to jump outside and get some cash to pay for the room. During that time the price of the room magically increased from 75 to 78 euros for a double room (our friends that booked in advance had a bigger room for 60 euros). We asked for a twin-bed room, the owner confirmed it was, but we got a big double bed which I had to share with a colleague of different sex. The furniture and locals are clean, but smell very anciently. The room and the bathroom were really small and creapy. moreover, although I had a crutch, the owner made me go up to the third floor with no elevator. Since he knew we were taking part to a big local event he didn't provide us with breakfast, because it was also served at the event (letting us have no choice where to have it). Since our friends were sleeping one more night at the same place, the morning after we went there on foot to get together to the event. Although instructed to let us in the room by the guests, the owner decided to let us stand OUTSIDE the hotel under the rain and with cold weather (I still had a crutch) to wait or friends, because it was 8h00 am and the hotel was full of sleeping clients that we would have woke up because being  noisy while going upstairs!
Another thing: the owner pretended that they have wi-fi, but that it couldn't work because the network got broken during the rainstorm.

Creepy place and awkward owner

Hotel that must have had its glory hour at another time. Owners, elderly people, do what they can to please. Despite the old frame, the rooms are modern, clean, ground floor, comfortable bed, shower and W.C. narrow but affordable, quietly insured. A small parking accommodates the hotel. There is no need to want to have dinner after 7.15 unless it is a cold dish, (egg, minced sauce, cornichon), that the lady shows you with her finger on the floor. The old lady insisted well on the German cold moment that her husband wanted to serve fries in accompaniment.

Old and rustic hotel

First of all - the hotel is very clean and the old lady owner is nice. But there are some things... If you would really like to visit this one, please note that: 1) you have to know German, the owner doesn't know any other language 2) you shouldn't need a wifi as there is none (not even in the pubs around) 3) you should be very patient (preparation of tea for breakfast takes about 30 minutes) 4) you have to have cash (no cards accepted) 5) it would be wise to keep all "receipts" of all payments (the lady has short memory) 6) you should enjoy talking to old ladies as there is no possibility to pass by without the owner's talkative attention 7) you shouldn't mind a shabby condition of the hotel 8) you must be generous (the owner doesn't give you change back if you pay 3 Eur beer with a 5 Eur note...). So having this in mind, you can book this one ;)
