Mimosa

Mimosa is a short 2-3 minute water taxi ride from the main dock of Puerto Ayora but while I thought that might be a pain, it actually resulted in being a great experience. A wonderful little beach and Las Grietas volcanic fissure are both right nearby and Mimosa itself is a cozy, small, home-like place to stay. The house is clean and comfy and relaxed. Breakfast was great, and Paul, the proprietor is an experienced and charming UK-native with 23+ years experience in the Galapagos. He was a wealth of knowledge and information. Stay here.

We stayed in the Mimosa for one night before going on a cruise. The hotel is clean and Ingrid did a great job giving us some good advise for our stay. The breakfast was excellent. Watch out when booking one of the tours since a lot of them are overpriced. Free Wifi.

We stayed here for a week with 7 of us, we had a wonderful time. It is a great location in a truly
amazing part of the world. I had some questions about the little ferry boats to get back
and forth, but they work wonderfully. The beach is a short walk from the property. Paul does a great job, and you will have a wonderful stay.

We stayed for five weeks in this wonderful home while visiting and experiencing the Galapagos. We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet location, it's proximity to a lovely beach and Finch Bay  and walks on the pathways. The house was well equipped for us, the rooms were comfortable and the rooftop patio was a great place to start the day or enjoy a happy hour later on. There were a couple of nice restaurants to choose from within walking distance and also some great trails that lead to Las Grietas a popular swimming area and where people dove into a cool deep pool. The water taxi to the main dock was steps away and it was always an enjoyable ride thanks to the wildlife and boating activity on the bay. All in all a great place to stay while experiencing the amazing Galapagos. Paul McFarling was an attentive host and was quick in dealing with any issues that did arise or helping us organise a tour.

We have visit this homestay a while ago and we found it really nice. The owner Paul and maid made us feel at home and helped us enjoying the island to the fullest. The terrace on top its a great spot to watch the bay and animals. 

The homestay is spacious, clean and is not too expensive.
