Pension Alabastr

I am truly shocked at the negative reviews! I am a solo traveller who enjoyed a wonderful 5 night visit. Pension Alabastr is the ideal place to stay in Prague. Quiet, homey, unique and centrally located, it blends an old world charm with excellent professional high standards. Secure and safe, with a seamless check in ( I let them know what time I was arriving, at night, around 10pm) I stayed in a room opening on to a charming courtyard. My room was spotlessly clean, I had a big comfortable bed, there was lots of storage, a kitchenette with its own sink, microwave/grill, stove top, pots pans, dishes cups, glasses and small fridge, there was also an iron and lots of hangers! I was also able to control the temperature of my room, so I was very comfortable. Good lighting, lots of hot water. Excellent hassle free wifi. Room tended to daily, towels rubbish etc. Well designed, nicely decorated, and within walking distance of everything; the meeting point for Taste of Prague tours which I highly recommend as your jump off point when you arrive in Prague. You are also just down the street from the tram, short blocks away from Wenceslas Square and the most palatial well organized post office who have ever visited! Almost around the corner from Palace Lucerna, a complex that you could spend an entire day in: delightful restaurants like Monarchie, wonderful cafes like Saint Tropez, there is also art, a cinema, a casino and lots of shops. You will also find Billa, a big supermarket in the basement of the mall that houses the Koh-I-Noor stationers and pencil store as well as the outstanding and history rich café Myšák.
