Kangnaixin Hotel Yinchuan

We stayed here for three nights while in Yinchuan and were very happy. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but as a place to sleep and leave our things, it was great. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area (ask for a discount). We were most impressed with the cleanliness. We spilled something on the bedsheets and they were changed without having to ask. One day we came back in the afternoon just as the housekeeper was finishing cleaning, and she was doing a thorough job of mopping the floor. Our room was bright and welcoming. The service was hit and miss depending which staff member we spoke to. The first receptionist told us to go to a different hotel because she said they don't accept foreigners. We asked to speak to a manager because we knew that wasn't true, and he was extremely helpful. He helped us plan our day trip the next day, and even carried our bags to our room himself. The hotel's location is very convenient. It is walking distance to the pedestrian shopping street, the drum tower, some interesting parks, and lots and lots of restaurants.
