The first room we were in flooded while we were sleeping so they moved us to a second room where half of the wall sockets didn't work the heat controls in the room didn't work so it was so ungodly hot that we needed to open a window but the problem with that is theres no window screen and it was close enough to the floor that anyone could just crawl in and the bad neighborhood the hotel is in means theres a decent chance that some drug addict could see the open window and stumble in oh and the second room we were in had no kitchenette like the first one did and someone was drilling all night do not stay here ever

I've chosen this place a few times to visit my boyfriend due to its affordability, but each visit reveals a worsening condition. Considering the multiple large holes in the walls and ceiling, I've decided not to stay here again.. additionally- the bathroom was gross, not cleaned well at all. It sounded like the person in the room above me was dismembering a body, and the window was broken so I felt unsafe sleeping at night

I don’t know you but I like you enough to tell you never to stay here. Pretty much the worst room I’ve ever seen. Water leaked in the bathroom tub all night, broken furniture, broken switches, stains everywhere, pulled back the covers to hair and gum stuck on the sheets. 
They lock off the hallway to the office and entrance and make you go out the back door at night (which is open all night to the drunks and crackheads. 

They came and changed my bedding…..we still slept in our clothes and  on top of the covers. Oh….and no adjustment on the heat. 
Then …..at checkout……no money offered back. Soooooo……$110/night. 
Literally the last hotel to fill up as all the rest were full 

Worst room I’ve ever seen 

That place was dirty, I left at 4 am and didn’t even shower. Couldn’t wait to get outta there. Wish there was review to read before booking…

Normally I would give this place a 1 or 2 star rating, but I've stayed here enough to see the goods and bads for what they truly are.
Let me start off by staying that this is one of the most inexpensive hotels in Dawson Creek. For that reason, this place tends to attract a lot of troublemakers. You might smell overwhelming amounts of cigarette and/or marijuana smoke on the 2nd floor, and you might hear some partying. 
That being said, I've noticed a huge difference between when the parents are working, and when the son is working. The parents likely do their best, but they don't have a full grasp of English, and seem worn down by the job. Which is understandable given the amount of negative activity they probably have to deal with at this location.
The son, however is extremely friendly and outgoing. He will always greet you with a smile and will do pretty much anything to make your stay more comfortable. He was willing to stay two extra hours one night to get me checked in, since I wasn't able to arrive at the hotel until 1am, and normally they close up the front desk at 11pm. He really does an exceptional job and works very hard. I had a great stay here when the son was working.
The only thing I can think of that could improve this location, unfortunately, would to be increase their prices, which would then possibly deter some of the "less ideal," clientele that they get. On the same token, I stay here precisely because of the low cost.
So, I guess you can say, you will get what you pay for here. I do a fair bit of cleaning when I get in my room, and I don't expect a lot for a $70-$80 room. If I were paying more, I would expect more. But if budget-friendly is what you're after, this is your place, just make sure your standards are also in line with the price range.

Family Run Business - Stay Here When the Son is Working

On January 1/18 I booked 1 night here for my husband as he makes his way back to High Level for work.. This being bought and paid for on Expedia. So he was concerned when he checked in that they had asked for his Credit Card, I assured him most do in case of you using the Mini bar or incidentals etc. The room was in horrible condition, very very dirty, dirty towels, linen just plain dirty. Now If i was there we would not have stayed but he sucked it up and spent the night. They next day he was supposed to have breakfast included with his stay and his exact words were: I could see from across the lobby where they served the breakfast and you could not have paid me to go in there. This place is filty, and trust me if my husband says it's dirty, it's dirty... So now check out comes and they give him a receipt and he leaves. He called me and said I thought the room was paid for? I said it was, and he said well they charged again. So I go to the Credit card and check and sure enough they charged again... I phoned Expedia and they phoned them.. About 10 mins after this the owner phones my husband and asks for the credit card number again saying he never paid!!!! What!  My husband hung up on them... Now Expedia has been dealing with this and all is good... But just a warning Do not stay here. I have never in all of our travels, "and we travel all over the world" have we ever had to deal with this.

First of all, the parking lot is never cleaned.  So it is solid ice.  The so called "new management"  that has been advertised there for 12 years is terrible.  The man running the place gave me a room for me and my family.  The TV did not work and the phone was dead.  He decided to crawl around the bed trying to fix the problem, when I just said "how about another room? yeah?"  Yeah, he agreed that would be the intelligent thing to do.  Then I asked him why the phone was not working for local calls.  He said you have to make local calls from the front desk.  I've never heard of that but I guess that come with the territory here at this fine establishment.  I told him I guess the only person I can call is "you".  The restaurant probably hasn't operated for over a century.  So scratch that dining experience off your list.  Absolutely stay away from this horrible place.

One of the worst.

We stayed here because it was the cheapest option for the night in Dawson Creek.  Unfortunately, most of the hotels in the area fill up during the week with construction workers so it can be difficult to find a decently-priced room.  This hotel was not worth what we paid for.  The room was very dirty, and did not have a dead-bolt lock.  The shower sprayed all over and was not in good condition.  I was very happy we only had to stay here for one night.

From the outside this place doesn't look like anything special. However, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Big Tv, comfy beds, microwave,fridge and all amenities all for $80 a night! 100% satisfied. Highly recommend this place.
