Rei Salomão Hotel

We stayed at this very basic tourist hotel for part of the World Cup. We found the hotel staff to be extremely helpful and the breakfasts better here than anywhere else, always fresh bread, rolls, juices and fruit. The coffee excellent! The room was a bit dated, very clean though and the air con worked brilliantly. The room came with a well stocked mini fridge which with the room service was topped up daily and came very reasonably priced.. All the guests were football fans mainly following the Kings Lions, a handful of Americans, Italians and Japanese filling the Hotel. We all got on brilliantly with the staff offering go here visit that advice! In a very central area, lots of excellent street cafés and small shops, nearby, all selling a mad range of goods that best describes the locals, who I would say were a bit protective of their own local tourists. As we left the hotel, the 20 or so of us lined up for a last group photo, we were quickly surrounded by around 200 passing locals, who cheered us on to the taxis that the hotel arranged to take us to the stadium. Great little spartan hotel, no fancy thrills, big on service that always came with a welcoming smile.
