Dirty, horrible and rude staff. On arrival the room did not look as if it had been cleaned, I am sure the bedding was from the previous guests. Management treated me with contempt and told me I was free to go somewhere else, but I would still have to pay for one night.

Avoid at all costs, pay more somwhere else, drive further away, just DO NOT stay here.

Filthy place, more like a bad "back packers" than a "resort"

While it is dated and some matters need attention, the pros outweigh the cons. We liked the spacious rooms and bathroom, the pool, the very good in-house restaurant, the reasonable price for a one night stay which shortened the drive down to the Great Southern.

Oldie but a Goodie

The pros . Good sized tv , fresh towels daily , bar fridge , microwave , kettle.
The bad bedding doesn’t get changed regularly, carpet is in desperate need of cleaning, no toilet seat in my room. No soap only cheap and nasty dispenser, same in the shower. The rooms need a revamp desperately.Very overpriced for what you get. Better accommodation in Mandurah for what this establishment is charging .Wont be staying here again.

Avoid booking at Pinjarra Resort at all costs. A month ago I booked 1 nights accommodation to stay at Pinjarra Resort in early February to stay at Pinjarra Resort in early April through booking.com. However, a couple of days later found alternative accommodation in Pinjarra, so didn’t need to fork out the money to stay. I proceeded to cancel the request and then 2 days later $170 was taken from my account. 

I’ve called both Pinjarra Resort and Booking.com to try and get my money back and they won’t give me a refund, even though I advised well in advance that I have no intention of staying and canceled the accommodation. A small cancellation fee for the booking, I could perhaps understand. But not the entire fee for the nights stay. To me that doesn’t pass the pub test and is theft.

Reading some of the other reviews, we may have dodged a bullet by not staying at Pinjarra Resort with other customers experiencing poor customer service, not a fire alarm in sight which I’m sure is illegal, rooms next to an overflowing skip bin with no waste disposal anywhere and facilities not being maintained properly. 

I think the Australian Competition Consumer Commission watchdog would be very interested in the conduct of Pinjarra Resort. 

If you want to be ripped off by rip off merchants, then book at Pinjarra Resort. Otherwise, seek alternative accommodation in Pinjarra.

Avoid at all costs

DO NOT STAY AT THIS ‘RESORT’ (very loosely used label). This is no more than a sub-standard motel, run by the rudest man I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. 
We booked 2 rooms at the “resort” as we were spending the day at the Pinjarra Races. There is limited accommodation choices in Pinjarra, and it was just somewhere to sleep, as we knew the race day did not finish until 7.30ish (plenty of time to make 10pm check-in right?). I did not read the reviews, which is very much not normal for me, definitely would not have booked if I had! 
Firstly, we arrived in Pinjarra around 11.30am, we did realise it was unlikely the room would be available, but stopped by to see if there was by any chance one of our rooms ready. The young lady at the reception advised that both rooms were ready, and we could leave our stuff in one of them – for a fee of $40. As we only had a small amount of luggage, we decided to just leave it in the car. However, when my husband took the car back after dropping us at the racetrack, he was told that it would cost him $30 to park the car there! He expressed that he thought that was a bit steep and explained that his wife had been in earlier and been told both rooms were ready. Anyway, the girl ended up giving him one of the keys and allowed him to put our baggage in the room and leave the car (wow, did this get her in trouble when the boss found out!!). 
We walked from the race track, and stopped in at the Premier hotel for a bite to eat (still knowing we had until 10pm to check-in). At 8.05pm I had a (could say frantic) call from the hotel manager informing me that I had to get to the “resort” to check-in by 9pm. We were about 1.5 km away and had to walk. So we left ahead of the other 2 people in our group. I phoned the resort and told them we were just stopping to get some take-away, which would have been about 8.30pm. Whilst in Chicken Treat we got another call, and this time the (I assume owner), was screaming at us to get there or our rooms would not be available (paid for in full in January). My friend took off to try and get there before 9pm (hotel website and Booking.com, both state check-in is until 10pm). I was not far behind her and she made it with 10 minutes to spare. She was immediately greeted by an irate manager. There was really no reasoning with him. Now, where we can take some responsibility, here is that we did not have ID, that was with my husband, who arrived about 10 minutes after us two ladies getting screamed at! Also, the young lady who had given my husband a key earlier, was screamed at. 
This is getting to be a long story, and yes, we were all guilty of yelling back after copping that sort of treatment! Eventually, he let us into the rooms, and popped a $200 per room “bond” on pending in our account. After considerable phone calls and emails, we finally had the “bond” reversed 6 days later! 
Now, I know if I read this review, I might perhaps suspect that we may have been more at fault than it indicates, and that is a fair enough assumption, however, do yourself a favour and READ ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS. 
As for the “resort” itself – You get what you pay for (although perhaps $145 is a little steep for the quality). The room was clean. The air-con lights up the room like daylight. The bed was small and terribly uncomfortable. There was laundry (doonas & sheets) drying on the pool fence. 1 star at best. I would like to know how bad a place has to be before the booking agents (booking.com in our case) no longer put them on their sites?

PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS - BEWARE OF OWNER!

If you want to be in the customer service industry, then ensure your staff have the customer service skills to complement a business. Queen size room is actually a double bed. Booked in at 4pm, 2 hours after check in time at 2pm….no towels in room to have a shower, delivered one hour after and it was literally 2 towels…no shower mat, no hand towel. For $169 I expect better, sorry! As we checked in later, asked if we could check out at 11am instead of their standard 10am…nah!! I’ve noticed on TripAdvisor that their management hasn’t commented on any reviews so I really don’t think they give a stuff!

DON’T BOTHER!

Yes if you require a bed and a shower its fine. Certainly not what I classify A resort to be! 
It was a little dirty, and in need of a lot of maintentance, the shower tap came off in my hand! If I was desperate I would go there again, if not I would definatley try somewhere else...the caravan park has great units apparently!

Very basic, old and dated, Resort! Thats funny just because it has a pool!

Have stayed here a number of times.. Sam and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spotless - older style but spacious and very comfortable. Located not far from shops etc
Will continue to stay here when in Pinjarra.
