This is probably the best hostel I have been to in my life. So clean, so affordable, so neat, the owners so nice. I stayed here April 3-9, 2024 and also April 14-15, 2024. I found it by accident. It is over in Recoleta, north of city centre. For a bed each night it was no more than 16000 argentine pesos (about 19 usd) per night. Some nights I had the room all to myself too. Very clean showers and bathrooms. Housekeeping is done every day. Alberto the owner is so very nice, been in the hostel business a long time. Lucas another employee is very nice, as are the employees Melissa? and another nice young gentleman. After staying at this hostel, I would not want to stay at a different one. I doubt many others could compare. Beautiful building, well-kept, clean, and neat. Also--you can come and go 24 hours a day, as one of the employees is always on duty at any given time and they don't mind if you come in at all hours. Very understanding. What I can tell you is, if you are looking for a great hostel in Buenos Aires, please consider Reina Madre Hostel. It is at 1118 Anchorena. Near Santa Fe Avenue (Avenida) and near streets Laprida and Aguero. Has a supermarket (Coto) and Subte (subway) stops nearby. Very convenient.
