We had to wake up the girl and her son because he waited for us a bit.... Then we talked to another couple and they had the same thing happen to them El señor mayor is a charmer and helps you in everything he can. Until we watched the car while we were in the Alps, because those days you have to park it in the street. It has parking, but it's not very big. We left the backpack at the hotel while we were on the way. We booked the van towards Valbona. As we left and couldn't have breakfast, we were prepared a sandwich. We were upstairs and there was no elevator. It was large and equipped with a nice kitchen, everything, everything, a nice...

Excellent attention. The owners are in every detail, very kindly. Excellent air conditioning. Large apartments, comfortable beds, showers with mommy so that the bathroom does not get wet. Everything new, top quality and working perfectly. Hot water excellent and with good pressure. I highly recommend it, and would definitely come back here again. Also it is close to the center, a step away and close to the supermarket area, fast food and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Very kind Freshkita and your daddy!! All 10!!!

5 stars for the owner and for the delicious food!
The room was cleaned and nice. The owner is so friendly and helpful and tries to make you feel comfortable and like you are at your house. The center is far couple of minutes.
There is no parking, you have to park it in front of the door.

Good location, L Hotel

The bathroom was falling into pieces, water flowing out, poor lightning and the blowdrier blowed cold air. The room did not seem very clean, there were "complementary flip flops" that seemed to have been left by someone else.
The parking is actually not in the hotel but two blocks away in a very dodgy place where they charged me for the time after the checkout.

The main streets of the city start right next to the hotel. Easy access. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no elevator but we are not allowed to carry luggage, it was picked up by an employee. The room was overgrown and was more of an apartment, as it also had a kitchen-dining room with accessories. The abundant breakfast was served in the room at the exact time we said.

It was a great stay.

We three British middle aged guys were  touring part of the Balkans for a fortnight in Late September, just past peak season.

We had booked ahead from Shengjini and arrived on a Tuesday afternoon by bus, made our way from the bus 'station' (collection of bus stops near the theatre), past the mosque, up the busy pedestrian (mind the motorbikes and loads of bicycles) street with cafes and restaurants, past the roundabout with the water tap and agave and 200m up a street to find this hotel set back down a drive between the Main Street houses (signs indicated it from the water fountain and by the drive).

We found a young man in a small portakabin (an office with a single bed) dealing with departing guests, after them he welcomed us, checked us in, took us into the house to the front rooms apartment.

Inside it was nicely laid out, smallish but comfortable apartment with a double, single and a set of bunk beds all with fresh linen and towels.

There was a modern quiet AC unit and a 22inch LED TV on the wall. It had digital channels I think (going back a week from memory). 

The kitchenette area had a sink, a combi gas and electric hob and a fridge freezer whch had just been turned on, so was still relatively warm for our brought over food. Eventually it cooled down to accommodate the beers and milk I later bought from the EcoMarket on the main road. 

The shower room had a sink, bidet, toilet, water heater, separate shower area and a washing machine. It was lit with a single bright LED panel but no lights above or round the sink mirror for shaving (I brought my own plug in bulb unit which fitted beside the sink for the uplighting). Strangely it had a door onto a tiny terrace looking at the portakabin office! No washing line for hanging anything unfortunately.

We had chosen an apartment whilst staying in Shengjini as we had some good left over so we bought it along expecting to cook it. On arriving we expected to make ourselves some coffee. The gas hobs were plumbed in (unlike the unlisted Queen Residence) but no gas came out. Furthermore the electric hobs did not work either! I went to the kiosk to find the young man and asked for them to be turned on to which he said they did not work as nobody was expecting to use them!! I reiterated that this was an apartment and we expected to cook. He was sort of apologetic but was surprised at my attitude to self catering! Given the very high ratings if this place I am also surprised at this!!

On exploring the practically empty cupboards I found a working calorgas camping stove but no matches or lighter. On asking the young man for matches he took me down the side alleyway where their stores were and offered me the huge gas cylinder to take with me to cook. Not our style!! I asked for a kettle instead and he managed to find one, problem solved and we got our coffee in the end. 

The LED TV ran analogue channels with none in English unfortunately (apart from subtitled films on some channels). 

The son in charge was not too helpful in recommending any local style non touristy restaurants. He did order a friend to act as a taxi to take us to the castle for €6 which we walked back from easily. 

Everything else was perfect in the apartment.

As part of our road trip, we stayed for one night at the Hotel Shkodra L. Arriving by car. In a small cabin on the left of the entrance was the reception desk (owned by a sleeping area for the receptionist - there was a bed - but it was always accessible, you could just ring the doorbell). Our car was parked in front of the gate. So right by the wall. The parking lot is almost in a backyard. So safe (who feels uncomfortable). The room was large, we had plenty of space.

The room is equipped with kitchen, refrigerator, sink, bathroom, sofa and balcony (in the bathroom, interesting choice!). The room is very nice, we found ourselves very well and is very close to the center (less than 100 meters from the beginning of the pedestrian street).

Mini apartment, very close to downtown

Stayed for one night during visit to Albania. Arrival was a bit unusual with reception a portacabin beside the front door. Once inside pleasantly surprised. Public areas nice and clean. Room adequate. It had a dining table along with a small kitchen, which I did not use. Breakfast was provided to the room by the lady who owned the establishment. It was basic but very fresh and brought to room on a tray. Hotel is located very close to the city centre. The family who owned the place were very nice an this hotel apartments offers very good value for a stay in Shkoder.

Really close to the city center. It's just a couple of minutes walk to the pedestrian quarter. You can park in the closed area next to the building. The apartments are clean and spacious. Breakfast is served in the room. We got one glass per apartment. :-)
