The hostel has a great structure, including parking and an outdoor swimming pool. It is a little far from the center of La Barra and is about 10km away from Punta del Este (+- 15 minutes).

Good cost/benefit

The hostel has an incredible structure but... very, very poorly managed, we ran out of electricity and therefore no air conditioning and they didn't give us any explanation, the bathroom was flooded, we had to order toilet paper at the reception, I guess I don't even need to complete.

Disappointing

Very good hostel, bedrooms are fine and bathrooms are clean.
The staff is excellent and they serve a fair breakfast. The only downside of this hostel is that it is a little bit too far from the coast.

Great but far from the beach

Booking.com puts a price in Argentine currency that is misleading because the change is made in the official dollar and when you get to the place the change is in the blue dollar. In addition, they don't allow you to regret it. AL HABER RESERVED BY THE INTERNET AND PAID THE COMPLETE STADY, TE JORBAS. The hostel is very far away from everything, on a poorly lit road. There is no access to all the rooms. There is no continental breakfast (not even a small amount of mineral water when you finish your coffee with milk). There is a library (only 4 issues of the year), there is no open-air cinema. There are 2 liveries. The staff are waiting very poorly.

We came right at the start of the season and the hostel was still in its last stages of renovation so it was a bit all over the shop. You could tell that the hostel will be lovely when all the work is done and it's up and running properly. The pool is lovely for a swim, the staff were great and played awesome music, breakfast was good also. When we got there because they were working on the hostel still they upgraded us free of charge to a much nicer double room !! Also got a free lift 2town”

Bit shabby

This place looks like it was nice once, but when we were there the pool was dirty, there was mould in the shower, and there was a broken planter just lying on its side with the plant and dirt spilling out of it beside the building, to name just a few maintenance issues. There was dust and dead bugs on the floor. The sheets looked clean but had holes in them, and the quilt cover felt like it hadn't been washed in a long time. The bed was reasonably comfortable, though.
There were no screens on the windows, which had to be left open because of the heat (no A/C), and being near a river there were a lot of mosquitoes. Breakfast was minimal; awful  white bread with bulk jams. 
The cost was very expensive for what was offered. Also, it was a long way from town and beach, on an unpaved road; difficult to get anywhere without your own transport. For a few dollars more, there are much better options in this area.

Going downhill fast

While staying at another hostel in La Barra, my friend and I went to meet La Quinta Eco Hostel & Club, which was further away from downtown. Upon arrival we found a lovely place, very quiet and quite new, which had a pool and bar inside, a pool table and a large park. We decided to stay at this hostel, whose rate was the same as the previous one, and stay there for 4 nights. It was a good choice. We stayed in a room of 8 people just for the two of us. With beds with very good mattresses. The breakfast was very nice: coffee, tea, yogurt, cereals, toastadas and mermeladas.

A very good option.

I stayed at the hostel for only two days and everything was fine, the location guarantees tranquility and clean air. The construction is new and everything is very carefully done with details that make you feel comfortable, I am parked in one of the two wedding suites and I can't complain. Price accessible at least in the off season. A step you are on the beach, for group walking is ideal, for the park that has, asador, volleyball court, swimming pool, pool table, deck with mesitas, bar for drinks, and several other places.

Volvería is a hostel and I recommend it.

I stayed at La Quinta a few times during this summer. From the beginning, the staff is so friendly and cool that makes you feel at home.
The hostel has only 8-bed rooms, but sometimes we were alone in the room. The place is clean and comfortable.

It also has a great swimming pool with a deck, a fireplace and a restaurant.
You can order the food you would like to eat and the staff will do it. 
The only thing you have to consider is the location. The hostel is about 8 blocks from La Barra beach and you need a car or taxi to get there. There are no buses. But the people at the hostel will help you get a cab or even ask the others guests to take you wherever you are going.

More than a hostel

This Hostel was Fantastic! Super Clean! Everything is new and trendy. Toilets are clean. The staff are really friendly and welcoming! The Pool amazing! great treat :) I would stay there again :)
