Lovely comfortable hotel for a quick weekend break. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Our host Paul was wonderful and very patient with my children. Such a great hotel and would definitely recommend for a short stay. We also managed to hide easter eggs in the garden on the morning and generally loved our stay.

We stayed at The Roade House for a couple of nights and found it to be a fantastic find. Dog friendly, clean and staff including owner Paul was very accommodating. We had peaceful stay and enjoyed a quality breakfast on our departing day, this was served promptly and hot. Would definitely recommend! 

What a gem of a hotel- spotlessly clean, lovely room & fantastic hosts in Paul & Maxine. The breakfast in the cafe was delicious & it had a great atmosphere. We even tried a yoga class on Sunday morning & it was so relaxing. We were at a family party on the Saturday night & it was an excellent venue

Lovely place to stay. Clean, tidy and the food was lovely. We will certainly stay again when visiting Roade.
Very quiet room. Plenty of parking. Large bathroom. Good location if you want to use the pub over the road. Few good places to eat in Stoke Bruerne also. 

Really nice place . Some good vegan options I had the superfood salad which was superb and my partner had the taglitele with cashew cream . With a pot of tea it was a really tasty lunch . Only flapjack as a cake option although tgeee was a gluten free muffin . But for other courses plenty of voice.  Nice relaxed surroundings 

Visited for lunch, and was very impressed.  Coffee delicious, and a good selection of cold drinks.  Plenty of outdoor seating, and service fine.  Pleasant ambience, and attractive light lunch menu.  

Husband had toasted sandwich which came with salad and crisps, and was very tasty. I had a salad bowl.

A welcome, and quality addition, to the village.

Stopped by today for Coffee, waffles and Scones. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and plenty of open space for social distancing, inside and out. Nice and relaxing, very pleasant. Would highly recommend as they have a great menu that’s full of tasty food both vegetarian and vegan. Large selection of cakes and treats !! Cannot fault them at all. If you are travelling anywhere near Roade then book up or have a takeaway ? You won’t be disappointed.

The Roade House is a small hotel in a quiet spot 3 or 4 miles outside of Northampton. Great for me working on a long contract at Brackmills. Whereas commuting from other hotels to the West of the M1 suffer from the long term roadworks causing congestion, there's a couple of back-roads routes from Roade House that avoid all this.Lot's of nice little touches - an in room fridge stocked with free of charge chocolate for example. A great breakfast hand cooked to order included in the price. The same team look after a pub across the road with great pub classics available.Don't be worried if there is no one at reception to greet you; they are across the road running the pub. They are an efficient and friendly bunch.

Stayed at the hotel and went to Stowe school on our way south,  Very convenient for Stowe and Silverstone. which is on the way to Stowe.

Because it is under 10 minutes away from Silverstone, an ideal location 
very friendly people. Wonderfull breakfast.
dated building but very clean and a very powerful shower.
Filled minibar with compliments of the house!

First impressions from outside could be better-old vans/cars parked outside, storage container left near entrance and garden seating area was not greatly inviting… however on entry the place is calm, clean, and smelt lovely.  
Our room was spacious, quiet and clean - spot on for half way stop off on a long journey. The pub across the road is ideal and the village is lovely for a stroll.  
I felt the hosts could have been a little more friendly, nothing was said when we left- the owner was busy selling a van to a customer in the reception area which may have been reason.  
There is a warning about hot water taking about 2 mins to come through, I waited well over 5 mins in a cold shower and gave up in the end, it did eventually come through hot for my husband as I left it running for him but it was way over the suggested time.  We had breakfast in their cafe (this is extra), we liked how there wasn’t a rush to eat prior to checkout.  We enjoyed the food and the cafe has a homely feel with a sofa/fireplace.  
We would stay again if ever in the Northampton area.

Great hotel!

The Roade House can be found in the small village of Roade across the motorway from Northampton.

Our breakfast was well cooked, hot and served with a friendly smile.

Quality of the ingredients felt moderate to good, which meant that it felt expensive.

There are other options in the villages near by that I will probably try before rushing back.

Good breakfast but not great value

You Can't Argue With Value For Money

We have just travelled all over England , Ireland, Scotland and Wales and this is the BEST accommodation we have had. Ask for no 1 room. King sized bed and plenty of room around the bed , something we found lacking in many hotels and B& B,s we stayed in.The hotel across the road had great food and our Breakfast was great. Whether we were just sick of double beds I don’t know but what a relief it was to have a king sized bed.A big 10 out of 10 from us.

Chose hotel as only 20 mins from Silverstone. Totally confused when we booked in just after 2pm, had to pick up keys at pub opposite, via note on door of hotel, and was asked to give our breakfast choices at that point! No menu given, so told to ring through to the pub later after we had thought about it. When we finally got in, the Hotel was in darkness, no staff anywhere or on reception and all very quiet. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Complimentary mini bar and toiletries. We left our breakfast choices via voicemail on pub phone as requested. Following morning we went down and a side room, now not in total darkness, was serving breakfast, not the pub. Lady serving us knew nothing about us having to pre order breakfast and didn't know why we had been told to do that. Overall, the room was perfect, the breakfast was very nice and well cooked, the ladies serving breakfast were lovely, but someone needs to sort out welcoming guests and the breakfast thing! Would stay again.
