Very enjoyable stay the hosts were very accommodating. First class breakfast. The whole place was so clean but not uncomfortable or clinical. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation. Would stay again. One minor criticism the room was terribly hot, but otherwise a brilliant find.

A very  clean and large top floor room. A lovely English breakfast. It suited our needs. Only downside - the shower cubicle is very small and there is little airflow in the room on a hot day

We have stayed here many times  everything is excellent

Easy check in with clear information, comfortable quiet room, great breakfast. Easy parking and walkable to sea, shops and restaurants.

The guest house is lovely, the hosts were amazing and great breakfast. The only inconvenience for me is I would have preferred a late check out by 11 or 12 not 10...and breakfast to be served until at least 10 am...Being away and off work I wanted to sleep more in the mornings and have this flexibility to not wake up 8 am and breakfast to be served just between 8.30-9 am

So much to say. Wonderful, friendly,chatty hosts, The house is spotless. They are so organised and work like clockwork. Nothing was too much bother for the hosts. It is asked that you vacate by 10 am   but there was no rush for us to go. It's hard to express just how pleasant our stay was.  Thankyou Pauline and Dave

Overnight stay at the Adelaide

One of the best I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. A good sign when I walked through the front door was the clean and fresh smell. The room was spacious and was very nicely decorated, bed was so comfy. It's obvious Dave and Pauline take great pride in their guest house as it was spotless and well decorated throughout with attention to detail. I enjoyed the well-cooked breakfast which has a wide choice and how it was delivered by Pauline on individual table trolleys. The location is very good as it's within easy walking distance of the pier, shops, restaurants etc. The weather was quite warm when I stayed so I left the bedroom window open at night and had no problem with outside noise or indeed inside noise from other guests so along with the comfy bed I had a great nights sleep. If you're staying in Clacton-on-Sea I can highly recommend Adelaide Guest House.

Superb Guest House

We had a lovely stay. From arrival our welcome was warm and informative. The whole place was spotless and run like a well oiled machine. Bed was super comfortable and bedding made for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was great. Lots of thoughtful little touches for guests. Location so central to town, easy access to everything. Pauline a nd David are so friendly and psrsonal which you don't get in big corperate hotels. Loved it! Proper old school guesthouse. Definitely will go back!

All of the previous reviews are 100% accurate. The guesthouse is immaculate, the cleanest tidiest place we have ever stayed at. Room was lovely and airy bed really comfortable. David and Pauline could not do enough for you The breakfast which was included was incredible all freshly cooked. Cannot recommend highly enough. After our first visit it feels like we have made friends with the incredible hosts.

Wonderful Stay at Adelaide Guest house

Pauline and Dave were the perfect hosts. I booked the hotel for my husbands birthday and I spoke with Pauline before arrival to try and arrange a little surprise. Pauline was more than accommodating and went above and beyond. The guest house was immaculate, comfortable and I’d highly recommend. Breakfast was also perfect. Thank you again.

The perfect stay

We booked the guesthouse on a spare of the moment whim. Honestly such a lovely place to stay Dave and Pauline were perfect hosts. The guesthouse is spotless we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious we really couldn’t ask for more. In fact we will never stay anywhere else in Clacton now. Look forward to seeing you again.Thank you for having us Kerena and Kerrie xx

It was a lovely property and the owners were friendly , only drawback was no  air conditioning on room so it for very hot on the rooms and not disability friendly not suitable for someone who is unable to walk up and down stairs    The breakfast  which you get on the morning was lovely able to choose previously want you require,

Warm welcome, room clean and comfortable.  There were instructions to use tv and the WiFi code.  Comfortable nights sleep, you have to complete a breakfast order when you arrive which was no problem and breakfast was lovely everything we asked for.  They are very conscious of hygiene following Covid.  5 min walk to seafront and shops.  Would recommend staying here if you were in the area.

We found our stay (1 night) very good. In regard to some of the slightly more negative comments it must be remembered that you are effectively staying in someone's house - yes it is being run as a B&B but it isn't a Premier Inn. Despite Covid in the rear view mirror as I write this, the owners are still keeping some of the regulations in place for their peace of mind and other guests. And as Tom Hanks used to say "wear a mask, it is the least you can do"

Location is spot-on. Not right on the sea-front but a short walk up through the main street gets you to the pier in no time at all.

Cleanliness is first rate. Great bed. Plentiful well cooked breakfast. You would be very hard pushed to find this level of quality at the price point so if you do need a room in Clacton go for it.

Just one quick thing there are three parking spots at the front of the building. As there is a busy road at times it is best to reverse park
